So I'm checking out RoM, and am enjoying it pretty much. But I see that you get 2 inventory pages for free, and the other 4 are rentals. I am an inventory whore, so I know that I would want to use those other pages. I'm trying to figure out what this would cost, and also had some questions.

It looks like it would cost about $1.54 a month per page, so $6.16 a month for all four extra inventory pages. That's assuming 22 diamonds a month per page, at 7cents per diamond if you buy 100 diamonds ($7.00).

I am assuming you pay extra for every inventory page.

That price can be brought down if you're playing long term, both by renting for 180 days at a time instead of month by month, and by buying diamonds in bulk. (100 diamonds is 7cents per diamond, 3000 diamonds is 4cents per diamond.)

So you could bring it down to $3.72 per month (or less) for all 4 expanded inventory pages. Now, a couple questions:

1. If I rent extra inventory pages, are they available to all my characters? Or does each char have to buy their own?
2. If I forget to pay for those extra pages, do the things I have stored in them vanish, or are they just locked off until I pay again?
3. At what point in the game do you start finding diamonds on your own? I heard that to buy them ingame, it's like 20k gold per diamond. Is that about right?

Is that about right?  I play on the EU servers and 100 Diamonds go for about 700k-1mil really depends. You can also sell your items on the AH for diamonds i know a lot of ppl who do this.

This is how companys make $$$ on F2P games. There will always be ppl willing to buy in game shop items and others who are not. When i 1st started i did buy a few Diamonds but after you get about lvl 30+ you can farm for items and just sell on AH for diamonds. You can always gather as well. The low lvl crafting items sell the best for some reason or another.

3. You do not find them, you have to buy them either on the auction house with gold or from the company with money.

Let's say I buy something in the item shop, say, a permanent version of something (no time limit.) Then I decide I don't want to play that char anymore. Is there a way to transfer that item to another character on the same account?

ive heard mixed answers on that... i believe if you suck up to the gms they can do it for you, just say you never want to play that account and you want to play a different account and they may do it, dont get your hopes up though, they want money so they might just say no you have to buy another

Officially Definately Not. 

But yes, the GMs in Runes of Magic are somewhat more visible and approachable, so the possibility is there.

In the few months of playing RoM I have encountered GMs twice ingame, just running around.  In 4 years of WoW I never saw one once lol
