Just thought I'd post something to keep us occupied while we wait for the next beta event (which is next Thursday FYI)

Which class will you primarily play in Aion online? Myself, I will most likely play a Ranger and a Cleric at the same time, as I cannot decide between the two. I am familiar with the Ranger playstyle from Lineage II, but have never before opted to play a healing class in an mmo.

Which class will you play?

Gladiator
Templar
Ranger
Assassin
Sorcerer
Spiritmaster
Chanter
Cleric

I would like to try something I never had before.  In all the recent MMO's I played everything from DPS, to Healer.  So this time around I'm going with Tank.

I guess the tank of Aion is the Templar.  And yes I will play as a female char in this one for the first time.  Reason?

I'd rather look at a nice sexy ass then some sweaty pretty boy while I play on for hours and hours.

I can't get enough healers, no matter what game I play.  So I'm pretty sure chanter, though I may go Cleric, or both even.

I only had time to play as a mage during the second beta test recently, and I liked what I saw :)

well aside from my alt-ism. to many seemed cool and fun to play in aion from what ive seen(not in beta, just vids and reading)

so ill be attempting to roll a gladiator, ranger, spiritmaster for sure, and think i may squeeze in a sorcerer and assassin as well. wonder if ill end up liking them all enough to keep o.O

Waiting For: FF14,Guild Wars2

to add... I'm worried about the lack of different starting areas.  I love to roll alts, and I hate to roll across faction (in case i get some great stuff for an alt)... and I've already run the elyos 1-10 3 times now, I may have to do it 4-5 more times to get all the classes I want.  might be a problem.

Probably a sorcerer, love playing as a wizard/mage in pretty much any game.

Its surprisingly not that bad, I've rolled 7 alts and haven't got bored with it yet because you know once you get to pandemonium you have a whole new class to experience.

If you just follow the story quests and the title quests (the titles are actually useful in this game) there are just enough to get you to level 9 without doing any of the other non-story quests.

Wow. What is it with the Sorcerer and Spiritmaster? I've never dedicated myself to being a healer, so to mix things up from my past, I chose cleric.

Actually, if I remember the numbers right (I might have to dig up that post from AionSource), Clerics and Templars were the most played class in C-Aion, with Assassin's in third and the rest falling behind.  I think SM was the lowest played class.

you have my point of view in why choosing female character , dont wanna stare male arse while i run around hours =)

does this game need so much of a tank the ifits pvp end game based i dont know since i havent tried it.

also always have been archer or tank myself so i guess its going to be ranger nor templar, seeing some bad ass assassin videos makes me wanna be sly char for once tho heh.

think my girlfriend going to roll cleric.

While I've been playing an assassin in beta, I think it's going to be SM for me.  I just love their pets and they remind me a lot of Theurgists from DAoC, which was probably the most fun I've ever had on an MMO (although all my characters were Hibernian >.> <.<).

I think I'm gonna play a Templar at first. But I might roll a Sorcerer in the end ^^

Just for comparison here are the results from the Swedish Aion Community
Gladiator  13% [ 41 ]
Templar  11% [ 35 ]
Ranger  10% [ 32 ]
Assassin  14% [ 44 ]
Sorcerer  15% [ 45 ]
Spiritmaster  11% [ 35 ]
Chanter  8% [ 26 ]
Cleric  13% [ 41 ]
Antal röster : 299

Kinda good mix =)

Thanks for the info, I'm extremely surprised at these numbers! Our Aion community here at MMORPG.com seems to be very closely distributed between all the classes, as do the Swedish community's numbers, however in the actual N/A beta weekends the vast majority of players were concentrated into three classes: Assassin, Sorcerer and Templar.
