I was simply apologising for the comments i made, which were incorrect that's all :) didn't even mention any other point friend so there really is no need to get angry with me :) But seeing as they are two different clients, being run by two different publishers. is it possible to have a character on both servers of one account? not being sarcastic btw i honestly dont know if it is possible. |

I think you should try to understand the real meaning of what Tasos said. The real meaning of what Tasos said is: 1) NA players wanting to start from scratch will have to buy a new client. 2) NA players wanting to transfer will have to pay a transfer fee which will be >= than the cost of the client. If you believe anything else, you're delusional. |

and this RIGHT HERE is the fucking problem. We were all lead to believe that when a NA server opened, we would be allowed to simply transfer over to it. Not that we would have to either buy another account, or pay for a transfer. It's pure bullshit, and it's a scam. Worse than that, it's AV taking a huge sloppy shit on the people who supported them, and kept the game alive. |

They did not mention the how much you have to pay in order to transfer. But thinking about it, it will be probably close to the sum for starting. Otherwise Aventurine would lose money with people putting their subs on hold until transfers are available, not to mention to check how good that expansion is. The sooner they realize making broad, vague comments about the future of the game is detrimental to it and to Aventurine themselves, the better. |

I am willing to bet my account that the transfer fee will be less than 50% of the client fee! if it's not less than 50% i will delete my account. you may think that is nothing but i am quite active on these forums...and even though i could easily set up another account in a different name...i like my name and i like people to know me for who i am...so to me it is something. The reason i am doing this, is because i think it laughable that people are making quotes like " anyone that thinks the fee will be less than the client fee, must be delusional" or retarded etc. to me you are really grasping at straws here! if i am wrong then i will freely admit i am. |

Excellent point! i had not even thought of that for one minute....ill still stick to it now though :( Though we dont know if it will or not yet do we? on that thought, would our billing have to change also? these are the things that are just speculation at the moment, yet people are getting so angry? why get angry when we are all speculating? none of it is fact yet as no details have been released. It's almost as if some are using it as an excuse to cry AV killed jfk! Jaspr180 and posters like him not included as they actually add something to the conversation :) |

Clearly you didn't understand, or chose not to. The options for existing players wishing play on the US servers are either (a) buy a completely new NA account and start a new toon from scratch on release day, OR (b) wait three months after NA release AND pay an undisclosed transfer fee to transfer your existing character (without any equipment) onto the NA server
I think that's fairly just cause to be disgusted. Not that AV needed any more nails for this coffin.

I told you guys they would make you buy the game again and have a transfer fee. They are banking on NA players buying the game again , paying a transfer fee which will force those EU players who want to continue playing to do the same. Just one big money grab. As far as the " expansion " is concerned... Its just an attempt to get all those people who canceled to think there will be massive changes when in reality it isnt going to happen. The sooner AV goes under the better off gamers will be. |

Not seeing the problem. Many other games (WOW, LotRO, Lineage 2, AION, etc) charge you separetly if you try to play on both their US or EU (or Korean) servers, (and most discourage this practice) and almost none of them will let you transfer a character between them no matter what. How is AV any different?

Also don't forget you transfer with nothing, and other restrictions. Since we don't know what these restrictions are yet. We can speculate that it could be a reduction in your skills, or even the chance that only certain players can transfer based on time in game. For example. You can only transfer if you subscribed before may 1st 2009. We really don't know what the restrictions will be, but I think with the way Aventurine has been to this point, transfers will not look like a good option. Hopefully I'm wrong. My thinking is that transfer fees will be about $25.00 us. Just something to ponder. |
