OK so i played a few and never stuck with them due to how ever many different factors. I really want to find a good one i get jealous when i hear of people who played an MMO for years and loved it every step of the way. I would rather get on with a new game but a grand old game that lasted the test of time would do just as well. I played Star Wars Galaxies and left when they made everyone pick a specific class. The best parts of that game were: Player cities and housing Pre CU character progression Resource, crafting and personal vendors I played Vanguard Saga of Heroes and left when that game got redundant. The best parts of that game were: The open and rather seemless world Their crafting system The overall openness of the game I played Warhammer Online and left when that game got redundant. The best parts of that game were: The public quests The way the map changes ownership and the way the battles can flow back and forth Use of Keeps and siege weapons I played Eve Online and couldn't stay with it cause i just didnt feel connected flying around as a ship. The best parts were: The world market and mix of Player and AI tradeing The corperation structures and alliance system The way players formed their own groups and went to war and dealt politically with each other games i played and couldn't stand after a short time: World of Warcraft Star Quest Online Battlefield Europe Dark Age of Camalot Dungeons & Dragons Online
So what would you suggest based on the above? |

Have you tried LOTRO? Its a very solid MMORPG, and has a strong helpful community, only downfall of this game is lack of PvP. http://www.facebook.com/DEATHREAT |

You might want to give fallen earth a look, its been in beta for a while but fileplanet gave out some beta keys this week for thier premium memebrs. Also if you like MMOFPS/RPG check out Huxley the distopia - kinda like Quake/unreal tournament with RPG elemtns where players can upgrade weapons/ammo and create PVP game lobbies and do quests and CrimeCraft - crafting and FPS/RPG together with instanced battles makeing PVP a lot of fun, with the ability to collect items, craft armour/weapons, do quests to upgrade your arsenal and que to ongoing pvp games like CTF, FFA, TDM, and more. lots of fun. Darkfall online opens doors to North America July 6th with major patch updates and will be a lot of fun for new players that want to join a guild and play with other people in a uninstanced Full Loot PVP MMOPRG. |

Maybe head over to EB and try to get a beta key for AION and give it a try? |

You can try Atlantica Online. It is a great turn based game and is ranked 2 on MMORPG.com. It got PVP, intence turnbased combat. Pretty much anything u want in a good game. If you want to pay, then LOTR Online of course. |

no Aion is out of the question due to Game Guard
currently looking at Fallen Earth and so far its pretty decent. |

If you're looking for an MMO that will stand the test of time go with Ultima Online. It's very open and has alot of different possibilities despite it's age...
Another suggestion might be Planetside if you like FPS/RPG mixes. |

i thought planetside was going under or shutting down? And i dont even want to think what it would be like to be a noob in a game which has 10 year veterans....... |

Even if Planetside does shut down soon, I'll almost bet some free servers will pop up. Besides, if you end up playing it for a couple months you'll realize that no one has made another MMOFPS yet. It's worth it to play just for the open world
Ultima is easy to learn in all honesty. There are soooo many guides out there and it's basic to know what class to pick for what. For example, if you want to PvE become a pure tamer If you want to do PVP go with a pure mage..... |
