in a few days, WoW will finally shut down in China and we will have our throne, GO NCSOFT! The best MMORPG makes of all time.

Aion's official subscriber base will be: 7.3 million subs.

- Korea: 1.2 million

-  China: 4.3 million

- United States/Canada: 400,000

- Europe: 300,000

- Australia: 200,000

you may have too much invested in this game.  you shouldn't care how well this does in comparision to WoW.  no one should want another MMO to die or not do well, other people are enjoying it, let them enjoy their game and you enjoy Aion.  hopefully I'll be enjoying Aion with (or against) you.

Yeah all this subscription nonsense is stupid. As long as it's doing well who cares. No one cares except for those who like to show they are right. I'm sure we'll hear from the person who made the silly post on how it only has 1.7 million or whatever. Take the argument to private chat.

The only numbers I care about are how many people are on my server.  As long as I have plenty of Elyos friends to slaughter Asmos fur bags, who cares about the rest of the world?

Seriously people need to stop being lemmings.  Who cares if it has 1 billion subs, or 300K?  Makes ZERO difference.  So long as the game makes money, which it will, NCSoft will keep supporting it and keep the servers open.

I'm curious where did you get these numbers from? 

And no your ass does not count as a reliable source of information.

I think the 400k for us and canada is conservative. I have it on good authority that all 7 of the people still playing warhammer plan to switch to aion.

So wheres the source?

Some of them numbers are way off,  Australia 200,000 people out of a total of 21mil people and the USA with 400,000 with a pop total of 309mil people + 31mil Canada (give or take)

"WoW will be dead in China" Really? If Aion was that great, wouldn't it be dead a while ago? Or are you mistaking the fact that WoW in China is switching providers there, and has to go down for a month or so as them cancelling it there? My bet? The latter, you seem way too unintelligent to catch that bit of fact.

 This thread fails on many levels (total garbage and a waste of space).

• I came to see "official aion subscriptions" and I was greeted with nonsense about some nobody's totally unsubstantiated "predictions"
• The "predictions" were totally ludicrous
• At least in that other thread, some attempt of legitimacy was attempted. This thread is full of nonsense.
• "We will finally be on top"? That assumes that Aion was a contender for the top at some point, which is of course ridiculous, since the game is brand new.
• ATE is an awful abbreviation.
• NCsoft is not the best MMO maker by any stretch of the imagination. The only accolade they have gained so far is for being tolerant to bots. Something that has the potential to actually kill Aion, the way it killed Lineage 2.

Aion has a lot of potential to be a good game. Unlike other launches before it however, it's not the game itself that may tank, but the amount of effort put behind battling cheating and botting in it. Unless NCsoft managed to keep the game really really bot free (people are extremely sensitive due to L2 mismanagement), this game will go nowhere fast in the west.

The world is such a beautiful place when you're 12 years-old and in looooooove.

Those of us who have been around the block a few times see things for what they are. Enjoy your 30-day honeymoon, OP!

And OP your talking about a FreeTOPlay game that makes you PAY to play.  AoC, Warhammer had more post about them before they were launched then Aion does and it is launched haha.

I don't see how sub numbers really matter at a certain point, all I really care about is that there is plenty of action in the server I play on. While I do see Aion will have success, I don't care if it may or may not kill WoW. I think Blizzard has made a great profit from WoW already, so it wouldn't really hurt Blizzard.

I bwnr Aion intimately and I could care less how many people are playing except that at least it has a couple of fHigh-to-full Servers for some pvp action.

Who gives a rat's ass about how many people are in WoW.
