Aion is killing WoW in Asia. It has more than 3,5m subscribers in Korea/China and is 6 month old (2 months in China) , it isn't released in Taiwan, Japan and all the western countries. This game is going to get more subscribers than WoW worldwilde. |

1) Why would you asume Aion will "kill" WoW? (Hint: It won't) PS. Will Aion be a good, possibly a great game? I believe so! DS. |

When Aion has over 6 muillions subs in Asia it will be killing Wow... the question is, how many of those 3.5 million are westerners playing the Asian version of Aion? Unless you can proove that all of your 3.5 million subs actually live in China or Korea you cannot compare WoWs Asian subs with Aion's Asain subs. |

The WoW community would flock to Aion and since they are the reason I can't stand WoW I would have to move to the next game. It's a Jeep thing. . .

Aion is a GREAT game. But will it kill WoW? Not by itself. But it will take away a lot of subscribers, and show other developers that it can be done. There are so many great games that have been in developement for years and are about to come onto the market... Champions online will take a chunk, as will Mortal (a small chunk), Star Wars, Fallen Earth, etc. They will start to have a cumulative effect. |

Well honestly Aion won't kill WoW in the US, maybe only take away a good bit of their subs. I say that only because most of my friends i've talked to are unhappy with the changes coming in 3.2 and we are all currently looking around for a new MMO to play. Aion seems to be where we're going. WoW is becoming way too casual and everyone can get good gear and there is absolutely no prestige to getting gear anymore, it used to be the story of how you got the gear and u felt like u actually accomplished something, and its just not in WoW anymore. Aion on the other hand im not saying its going to be so amazing everyone in WoW will leave, because lets face it ppl will still play WoW long after the bubble bursts on it, and you will still have a large player base so in a sense the only thing that will kill WoW is Blizz itself when they finally shut down the game. So lets stop with the 'WoW Killer' game and start saying what could potentially compete with WoW.

Well if asians switch to Aion, is actually good news for WoW: - no more kiddies creating blood elves because they look anime - no more asian gold farmers spamming general chat - no more kiddie gold beggars
So yes! Go Aion! Gather up as much anime-loving kiddie n00bs! PLEASE!!!! Better to be crazy, provided you know what sane is... |

Nice troll...Now go back to your cave.. Anyway if you want to go by numbers, look at Habbo Hotel. Outnumbers WoW by 10's of millions. Not an mmo but the point stands. Also numbers are always high down in Asia for some reason. They really love them mmo's down there. |

If Aion gets more subscribers that wow good for them. It is about time another serious game enters the market. It does not mean that everyone must switch games as you are suggesting, this isn't all in during a texas holdem match. There have been plenty of mmos in asia that have above a million players for a long time and I've never felt obligated to play those. Even when I was playing a game with less subscribers.
If aion is fun maybe I will play it, but right now I'm not looking for a game that plays similar to wow with a few different twists.

Probably laugh, since AION isn't even good enough to kill DAOC (of which is dieing a slow painful Developer Ignoring death).
AION = Lineage III, you can't ignore it & you can't deny it because that's all anyone will ever see. Get over it, and stop your game humping threads about Aion. Aion = just like WoW in the sense that serious games DON'T CARE about either of these products.

Even though I think AION is a great game now, and so will be SW:TOR soon, they won't kill WoW. They may have over a million subs in the west for each game but i think the only thing that will kill WoW is WoW. Not because of the state of the game but because blizzard is making a new MMO. They have a chance to get whatever they got wrong in WoW, what ever they didn't include, to now get all of that in a new mmo, and hopefully with better grphx and endgame content other than raiding, boring dailies and repetitive BG's. Again I have to ask this, "Why does every MMORPG that comes out have to be a WOW killer?" By stating, "Game XXXX is going to kill WOW." Does nothing but create an unwarranted hype that most likely will lead to the downfall or fizzle out of the new game anyways. No games can live up to the hype we create for them on the net, and that is why Aion won't kill WOW but instead I hope it can just survive its own Hype and eventually make its way onto the MMORPG top 10. |

Aion kills WoW? Anime MMORPG with fairies kills WoW? hahahhhahahahahah HAHAHAHAHAHA Seriously, I hate WoW but the fact is that the only ones that can kill WoW is Blizzard and time, as it will eventually grow too old. |

Wrath isn't out over there yet, is it? I imagine that has something to do with it too. The high Aion numbers I mean. I'm not big into PvP so Aion offers nothing for me.... bummer. Z http://www.TheIronZ.com |

I laugh at the stupid posts about WoW being killed by any game, and I laugh at all the SOE turd games, especially crappy EQ. The best is classic EQ which is so heavily touted on this goofy website, has just over 800 signatures. Classic EQ SUCKED, they screwed all the melee classes and no one wants it back. If you have any questions please ask. I have moved on to WoW from eq and no longer have any desire to play a dead game. Thank you. (posted by another selling his account in EQ1) |
