Seriously? Im no troll but Ive gotta say WTF to this. I followed DF forever, you could even say I was a fanboy. It came out, I played it and it was not what I expected. I silently bowed out and left the people enjoy it to their fun. Anyways I decided to head over to the forums today to see whats been going on over the last few months. I enter the website URL expecting their to be some sort of update to the main web site...NOPE! Still looks like somebody made it in their freshman year internet course.

I don't think it looks that bad.... But they're probably (wisely) focusing their efforts on getting the game into proper shape. There's not much point in investing time/effort/money in making the website look better until they're ready to seriously market the game - which would be premature in its current state. |

Originally posted by Ozreth I hate to break it to you. But they have indeed updated their website. They did eleminate some of the features that didnt make it. They also updated the news section and even added "reviews" to it like the so called ign review when Ign itself has never reviewed the game. Yet a blogger did in the vault section and they are using that as the legitimate ign review XD.

When the most recent news is first look beta impressions it doesn't look like they have put much effort into updating their site if they have at all. |

maxnrosy is right - they have been updating the content of the site. I went and had a read of it last week and noticed several features that had been prominent before, are now gone. |

I think the OP means, they have not spent a lot of time on it....some of us unclude changing a few lines as an update ( which technically it is ) While some think it's not worth calling it an update untill it is updated...as in up..to...date! which as i understand is what most peoples perception of the word means...though i'm sure some saddo could probably find some other meaning if they googles it :) But as far as i can see the OP is correct..the site is not up to date. Come on AV update the site correctly and then let us get past this tired argument and argue about more worthy things..like perhaps the game :) But then again somone made a good point...it's not really worth updating it too much untill they plan to market the game. |

They made an announcement last month with news about plans for the game and answers to commonly asked community questions.
Our number one concern is the quality of the experience for our existing users. We don’t want to create any problems by allowing too many new users in. This is why we have no boxes in the market, why we haven’t been promoting the game, why our new site isn’t up yet, why we don’t offer a free trial, why we don’t offer more payment options etc. We understand that Darkfall’s soft launch is unorthodox, but we are working hard to change all that while maintaining the best possible experience for our existing users."

The site still reflects its beta status. |

Originally posted by cfurlin So in other words, they're just removing broken promises... I'm happy to slag off at this awful game. I really am. Many of my posts in this forum could only be described as scathing. But I like to do it accurately. The stuff I'm talking about aren't broken promises, but changes they made to gameplay in response to player feedback. And it was stuff I remembered being there because I didn't like the sound of those features the first time I read about them.

At this point, I don't think they care about their site at all. All they want is to get a maximum money before their game dies. Still waiting for the real UO successor... |

MMOs require more reasoning and imagination than most stereotypically ''adult'' activities. |

Or in a nutshell: We've got a diehard group of fans willing to pay to beta test our game. Nothing is actually working as well as we'd hope it would and we are struggling to keep this sinking ship afloat as we slap together whatever fixes we can do. However our developers lack the talent to do anything in a timely manner so any real improvements to the game are slow in coming. Please, dear fans, don't quit paying to beta test DF while we try to get our act together. |
