The only NCSoft game it sort of resembles is Lineage2. And if you read anything about Aion, you would know it is nowhere near as instanced as any of the other NCSoft games....

Enough already, just tell people what the game is like. Aion isnt "several steps ahead" it's not "innovative" and whatever your personal opinion of the ridiculous lore is, the game is grind filled right down to the Lineage 2 power shards, however less effective they may be in this game.

 

The devs never told us that Aion will be INNOVATIVE and SEVERAL STEPS AHEAD OTHER GAMES. You fail to realize what this game is about.

This game is bad like there is not much of a end game it get market like a PVE game but all the endgame got is lame pvp!

Looks like fun and should at least be relatively bug and hassle free compared to other new gen MMOs..

Overall game mechanics beat almost anything out there atm save WoW.

Before this thread goes completely south i would just like to thank the OP for his opinion. This is the first game ive been remotely interested in in quite sometime. I will file his opinion away with the others ive collected and with those i continue to collect and then total them up and make a decision on to buy this game or not.

Every game has bad apples among the community. Those bad apples are in Barrens Chat, Dalaran chat, White sands, etc.  However, in defense of those bashing the OP, you personally disliking the art style does not make a game bad. Usually gameplay and bugs are the reasons to consider a game "bad" not artistic choices.

It makes the art style bad in his eyes. I personally like what i have seen so far but he doesnt and art style does matter at least to some of us. Its his opinion and people need to accept that not everyone likes the same things. The art style is a gamebreaker for him, so be it.

There is no "twinkle" effect when you click or talk to things. It's a small bell or ding. What you hear in a lot of MMO's. You will hear a "twinkle" when you get mail. I'm saying of course you file in opinions and I respect you for that, but if one can't fully put time into giving an opinion and would rather make and tell jokes. What kind of result would that be for you? I can make a video for you right now on my lvl 38 assassin and kill his opinions.

Wow, you can barely form a proper sentence and you're questioning MY credibility. Unfortunately for you, an error like that does little to refute claims of the game's design flaws. So sorry.

I'm not sure what I dislike more, the people who come to a game's fan forums to state how much they HATE a game, or the people who try to prove them WRONG.

Last I checked likeing something was a personal opinion.  It is doubtful that any faceless names from the internet is going to make this person change their "informed" opinion, no matter how much you argue.

Best thing to do is simply file this away as an opinion and let it be.  Seriously might as well argue which flavor of Pizza is better, or what soda tastes better.

Nice screens. As for myself i like the look of things. Ive always thought Guild Wars art was nice also. I have high hopes for this game its been a long dry spell for me as the last game i bought that i played for any length of time was LOTRO and that was in 07 if i remeber right lol.

Sorry, but these are all deal-breakers.  You can add a good story onto this (which btw, I didn't see), you can add flying onto this (nothing new here, AO let you do this, what, almost 10 years ago?), you can add PvP on top of this (what, to hear LOTS of 5 yr old girls scraping their knees)...but the game will still look and sound the same.

Hope you realize that what you stated doesnt make the game bad, it makes the game bad for you, since all this you're talking about is your taste.

Honestly, I could care less about how level 1 mobs look or how my character grunts while Im using ventrilo.

Anyway, is his opinion I guess... myself personally, I love the whole "Cutesy" feeling and explosion it adds something extra to the game, the sound you can mute if you want, but it doesnt bother me at all.

I enjoyed the game's graphics and sounds (does that make me a homo or a child?), voiceovers are just not westernized yet, what you hear is what might be common in Korea, and I also don't like them as they are.

What's next, are you going to make threads justifying why art work X is bad purely based on the taste?

LOL whats with the "WoW Clone" crap i see about every game.. Hell i had ppl say EQ and EQ2 were WoW Clones..THEY WERE OUT BEFOR WoW lol. And this game is more of a L2 clone if anyhting. Trust me i know. Also its no use trying to compare this to WoW since well WoW is a simplified version of Other mmos that died in the past. I like WoW but i do not play it. nore will i play this game..or atleast for a while

 All those things you said were for ur opion of what u like Oyjord .  ive been playing WoW off and on for 3 years now and personaly i cant wait till Aion comes out and im the type of person that does get trilled about something very easily.  i played the beta and i like what i saw, it had somethings like WoW but still different enough that i didnt feel like i was playing WoW but thats my opion and for u to say a video game is bad just cause u dont like it doesnt make it bad it just says u dont like it.  theres nothing that says u have to play it or any other mmo for that reason.

How can people not see that any game that has any kind of internet feature is a wow clone? Go back to high scholl people.
