****UPDATED: "What We Know- Video Two" is now available on YouTube**** Have you heard about Heroes of Telara? Here's MMORPG's article on it, with a high level of 8.23 --- www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/431 Heroes of Telara was announced at E3 earlier this month and has become a highly anticipated game. Despite the unsuccessful WoW-killers this past year, HoT introduces extremely innovative MMO features. Such as dynamic content, or events such as dragons attacking cities without a patch. (Note, the game will still have patches) Players in the area then embark on the heroic quest to save their city, or let it burn to the ground. This is just a snippet of what Heroes of Telara truly is. For more information visit: Website: www.heroesoftelara.com Fansite: www.telaratribune.com Or, watch these YouTube videos which explain some of the features Heroes of Telara offers - of course, only those that the community is currently aware of. Much more to come! What We Know: Video One: www.youtube.com/watch What We Know: Video Two: www.youtube.com/watch Also, MMORPG wrote this blog article: www.mmorpg.com/blogs/staffblog/062009/3979_Weddings-E3-and-Staffing Which HeroesofTelara's twitter responded to with this: This MMORPG.com blog entry (http://tr.im/nRnQ) relates to Heroes of Telara... just how, we can't tell you yet. :)

The only thing we know about the game is that it's "MMO traditional", with some nice/interesting evolutions, another set of developers that think they can hold live/active server wide storylines, and a wisely low key public prescense(at least for where I think they are in developement). |

To be honest you can probably talk for hours about how awesome this game will be and have COOL features , but it's enough for me to see 5 minutes of gameplay and I will tell you if this has a chance. World of Warcraft is a proof that MMORPG quality should affect schedule/budget and not the other way around. |

I did not say that this game was good. I believe that the game is worth watching the trailer to. After that, if you're still interested, check out the YouTube video I linked for more information. That's only if you want more information. Fluvant --- Kevin Paffrath |

I've been on the site before. A lot of great ideas, nothing concrete to back them up yet. They're on my "to watch" list, but not expending any real energy in interest until I see that the game actually exists.
Also, the OP's in wording DOES look a little like an advert, but ease off guys. |

I'm hoping that their Dynamic npc, quest & enviroment systems all tie in together & deliver on the potential. This could well herald something quite innovative. |

Me too. Problem is, they're probably the 75th MMO I've seen offer these things at the development stage. And the last 74 didn't have those features by the time they went to beta. Most didn't even make it to Alpha. |

I was getting worried after reading his generalization that "no one cares."
------ Remember folks, I'm not swearing that this game will deliver on what it states, but as Skuz stated, let's at least be optimistic and see what they end up delivering. Doesn't hurt to follow! Watch the video in the first post for more information :) Fluvant --- Kevin Paffrath |

I'm actually a little excited for some of the mechanics in the game, there's enough unique stuff and a lot of familarity that it could be interesting. I've even went to the dev chat the team had on this site, and it was interesting. It's just that the "Avid MMO players" are used to a MASSIVE disparity between what the marketers of a game say, what the designers say, what the rest of the dev team say, and finally what the fans say compared to what's really there. So a checklist looks nice and pretty but it's also a checklist that players see as going through too many hands putting a "spin" on it. Basically there are a lot of mechanics in the checklist that of "fun stuff" that could be really good or turn really sour with a bad decision(crafting reliance mechanics, secondary offline training, "dynamic" story lines, "dev/god" interaction in those story lines), the checklist also has mechanics that we've seen promised so many times to get something else. |

That's only if you want more information. If you are not saying that this game is any good then why post a trailer about it in the first place? It looks nice but I don't think that I want that other players should be able to burn down every city in the game world. That just spells disaster to me because I want cities in my fantasy MMO.

I can't say the game is good because the game isn't even close to a beta yet. I posted the video, which is NOT a trailer, to inform people about the game. From what I know other plays don't burn down other cities, when dynamic events occur, such as a dragon attacking a city, players might choose to fail to protect their city and be unheroic.
