Take a look at the topics of almost all of the threads on this forum.
Now direct me to the ones that are supposed to be discussions about the game by fans.

Most every post is either STARTED by someone that dislikes the game, or are open ended to the point that they aren't intended as discussion about the game for fans.

My point wasn't that threads get derailed or turn into flaming.

Most of the fanatics that defend the game with the brilliant, and oh so thought provoking, IT'S FUN, aren't any better then the "haters".

There is an overwhelming magority of people that dislike the game, and not just here.
The fans are a severe minority around here, and without the "haters" this forum would be dead.

I can also put it like this.
There's NOTHING to talk about with this game.
What are you going to discuss?  Character build?  Everyones building the same character.  Loot?  Everyone's getting the same loot.  PvE?  There isn't any.  PvP?  It's the same thing over and over and over.  It's an incredibly shallow game; there's very little to even talk about.

PS: I'm sorry, you're wrong.  It's a VERY small community of people here that actually like the game.  Did you know that there are even some people that will post in def. of the game here, but on the official forums they have a lot of negative things to say about the game.

I do agree that pretty much every thread in this DarkFall forum is made by someone who dislike the game or  are too "open ended to the point that they aren't intended as discussion about the game for fans." It's impossible this is false. My point was that we'd see some topics made by fans and for fans of the game if we wouldn't see every single topic being flooded by talkshit about the game or the OP.  First thing people see when they join the DF Forum is "Will Mortal Online finish off this game" or "We need an "I hate Darkfall" sticky thread on this board" can easily discourage any attempt for a fan to post a nice thread about the game. As for those who actually do say something good about the game, they are usually labelled as fanboi and the troll vs. fanboi war begins.

As for the fan database DF has, I'd rather just skip this part especially since we do not have real numbers. Some will say it is decent and others will say it's extremely small and I don't want to start this "my father is stronger" war and I doubt you want that too.

Thing is that I doubt DarkFall is the only one to suffer from those "you killed me so you hax" kiddies. Mortal Online will have it's share too and so are every other MMOs that have open world PvP (with or without Full Body Looting). Do admit the post was quite funny but I have seen that happen way too often in MMOs (EVE, Dofus and many more). As for the first person to post, since he did not post anything positive, he won't get flamed. That's what I want to prove.  I want to see if a positive thread for fans can survive the rage. I do admit that I condemn many of these haters but as long as this person has recently played DarkFall (may or june) and simply didn't like it, I have no reason to "condemn" him.

hacks exist

crafting is incredibly boring and nothing but a boring timesink to build big things.  combat is a poorly done fps.  isn't shadowrun a semi mmo-fps with magic?

niche games can have 100s of thousands of subs.  niche is not why df has only a few thousand subs.

why would someone playing wow play darkfall?  if darkfall HAS 10k active subs... that's, literally,  1/1,000th of wow's subs?  so part of one server from wow come play and that's equal to the population of df.. .but it's the wow folks whining and ruining the game.

this is the opinion/logic that ruins good posts.  many of us have said "i have fun" or "i had fun" playing darkfall... but that caveat is that you can have fun playing ms. pacman... doesn't mean ms. pacman is revolutionary, next gen, or well done (in comparison to current contemporaries.)

The first person to go off topic and flame someone was a fan of DFO.  
While people are talking about the haters needing to be segregated you've got fans that post here that do exactly what some want the haters segregated for.

I personally find the game to be pretty bad, but I do my best to not get involved in a thread that is actually a discussion by fans.

On the other hand, I don't have a problem pointing out things that a fan might say that isn't true, or an attempt to just hype the game.  I'm not ashamed to admit that I would recommend people no pay for this game, it's not worth it.  That's not to say it doesn't provide any fun, it's just not worth the almost 60 dollars and AAA subscription fee.  It's barely an MMO IMO.  More like a massive Team fortress.

I'm considered a hater, it doesn't bother me, but I do try my best to be civil and at least try and have an intelligent conversation and not go to far off topic if I can help it.

I think the fans need to just use the block option for those people they don't want to be bothered by and go about thier business.  No need for forum segregation, you're already given the power to segregate those you don't want to engage in a discussion with by simply clicking block. 

I think what the root of it is for some is that they want a place to be able to hype the game without others giving the counter view.  I don't agree with that.  If someone can attempt to convince people to play the game, I'll take the time to convince them there are better alternatives and more value for thier dollar out there.

OP states that the DF general discussion board needs a thread for all the haters of darkfall, because he finds it annoying to have to read all the lies and hate speech in every thread when really he just wants to use a fan site to be a fan of the game.
