I want those times back with no expansions... Mostly without TBC. Lich K was alright.

Posts like this make me want to count my post BC blessings:

  1. Heroic dungeons.
  2. Badges/emblems
  3. Flying Mounts
  4. Vehicles
  5. Greater gear costimization (Jewlcrafting)
  6. Ability customization (Glyphs)
  7. Multiple tier pieces (Dps tanking and healing sets for Paladins vs just healing)
  8. Spellpower
  9. Less gear that is only useful to one class/spec (Stamina loaded cloth gear)
  10. Better mix of shorter and longer dungeons at max level
  11. Ten and twenty-five man progression
  12. Better storylines
  13. Phasing
  14. Hugely improved class mechanics (Sword and board for prot warriors, disc priests healing through mitigation and so on)
  15. Championing
  16. Ground mounts swimming
  17. Guild Banks
  18. Calander
  19. Dual specs
  20. Tracking quest givers, vendors ect on map
  21. Being able to swap tracking of map vs action bar
  22. Warriors being viable tanks against more than 4 MoBs
  23. Priests and pallys not being the only viable healers
  24. Ret pallys being somthing OTHER than auto attack
  25. Warlock fear nerfed
  26. About 200 other improvments to classes/specs
  27. Less faction grind

I'd list more but I got to get back to work so thats the stuff right off the tp of my head I know I'm forgetting a bunch.

Good news everyone!

I agree with the OP. Each expansion has really changed the game a lot. Things aren't like they used to be...

Then again I never liked change.

Yeah, the best thing about old WoW is you can see just how clueless Blizzard was for the first year.

Terrible itemization of gear, spells that were useless and talents that made no sense. The god awful raid and PvP progression doesnt even need to be mentioned.

The only reason I would play old WoW again would be to laugh at how bad it really was.
