Why is it that all of these "hardcore" players have such fragile egos?  They get so damn offended every time someone likes a game that they don't.  I have yet to play the game, so I'm withholding my personal judgement until there is a free trial.  If I don't like it, however, I certainly won't waste my time trying to rebuild my shattered ego by attacking everyone who actually enjoys the game.

There is nothing "hardcore" about this game...

My entire guild played for about a month or 2 and have since all quit. I sure hope this means 9.5/100. DF was fun at first but then you realize what garbage it really is.

My billing was so jacked up for DF, I was never in 2 or 3 months charged for the client or charged a monthly fee. I emailed DF billing on 3 occations, everytime they sent me an automated response telling me to go in the account site and select a billing plan which was impossible since it told me I needed to purchase the client. I emailed them back every time and informed them to see that I have an active character already and to just bill me with the billing info that I entered. So I played for free the entire time and quit, never spending a penny.

Must be one of those 1-100 scale reviews.  There is no way any reasonable person thinks this game is a 9.5 out of 10.  Anyone claiming so is either a liar or a fool.  it may not be a 2/10 either, but that score is certainly more realistic than 9.5.  That score would have cost them their credibility... if they had any to begin with.

casual players can be both carebears and pvpers.

Its sad you just cant rate a MMO for what it is. 9.5 could almost be taken as a insult. As you search for a review they are far and few. Your best bet is to just say nothing about the game. This is why we dont read tons of reviews, its just not worth getting tons of spam, hate/love blah blah emails and posts.

Even if there were some new MMO that had breathtaking graphics, awesome gameplay, quests, crafting, PVP/PVE like never before and got a 8.9 over all. We well still see people saying DF is 7.  To them it is.. to me its not... whos wrong? lol no one..

So if you have to toss out words like hate, troll. drink this or that and die (awful thing to say) your not helping DF in anyway.

Soon newer MMOS will be out and DF will fall away.

MMORPG is a group of friends web, it is just simple.

And Darth, Meristation review is made by a fan of the game, so ...

Some of the re-reviews high notes are from the "valor" of AV for makeing this "game" without trying it O_o

your english is pretty ok, i understood everything - and yes, the review wasn't unbiased, the reviewer posted here that they only make reviews of games that they like and also play, they didn't give it a rating of 9.5, readers of their site did that, like with all the other games, that explains the weird scores that some of these games have. :)

Not nearly on the scale as Darkfall..

If this type of stuff was in EQ2 , LoTRO , WoW.. ect. It would be fixed within days and those involved in the exploiting would have their characters rolled back and in many cases even banned if it was found out that certain players seriously exploited a problem without reporting it.

As far as hacking goes.. Darkfall has most everything if not everything client side so hacking is not only easy but most everyone will do it once they know they cant compete without following suit.. In other games there are very few things you can do and you to be pretty smooth to not get caught.

So no... Its not nearly the same.

Is it too late now and is that too little?  Giving it a 10/10 rating won't turn the tide.

All those who might love it have been thru the ordeal, 300k strong.  They have been fooled for 8 years, some has been cheated of $50, some more has been cheated of a few months of sub.  Many has been cheated when AV double tripe charge them till credit cards blacklist AV.

Most important of all 300k dreamers got their dreams shattered, ego smashed, hope vaporised.  Its done for them.  After 8 years of spin, they woke up to the cruelty.  Now will a few more lines of words and a random number of 9 or 9.5 bring them back to old state of  8 year long zombieish brainless loyalty?  Is it now TOO LATE.  Too late for any damage control.

That is why those long time liars are mostly gone.  Javac has dug a hole somewhere, or created a new handle to talk.  Darth still spins but he is out of fuel.  Even when those loyalist put up a last ditch smiley, they have nothing new to talk about b/c after 8 years, there is no more new lies you can cook up.  They pretty much exhausted the list of lies a human being can come up with.

Too late too little.  Instead of trying to improve the game, they ban constructive critics from their clients, they QQ over reviews, and started a holy war against a magazine.  Instead of providing solid gameplay and fixing all the client side exploits, they talk about hit air (aka NA server) and now they spin their own loyalist (may be Tasos himself) reviews.  That is TOO LITTLE.

Too late, too little and no sincerity in coming up with a positive solution.  Even the fans don't care to celebrate over the 9.5 now.

no, REALLY - i want to know why the double standard here.

Certainly don't think it's a 9.5, but it's not a 4 either........makes you wonder about the standard of journalism on the net when people write a "review" based on limited knowledge and exprience.

I have yet to read one web review for this game that i would agree with for the most part, oddly enough though there have been some very good player reviews on this site which put them all to shame.

Bottom line, there are so many mmorpg review sites around, most of them are dross, poorly written and insufficiently researched, ignore them all and look for the impartial player reviews.

Personally, i'd give it a 6 or a 7, but thats just me.

It is just not as rampant, or ordinary, where the shock is finding someone who does not hack or cheat in some way in Darkfall.  Wow.. what a misinformed broad.

Well that's pretty hypocritical of you.

You were one of the ones blasting the Eurogamer review.  Both here and on the official site.
