Here's a good poll to take a look at the state of the MMO market. How many people are actually playing an MMO? How many are waiting for their next game?

I don't fall into any of those categories. I am currently fully invested in a game, but I'm always on the lookout for something more entertaining. So, I can't really vote. |

MMORPG Character Monuments ...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest... |
I agree with the above poster. I wager most everyone is on the lookout for 'the next big thing' even if they are happy with the current game. |

Waiting for Guild Wars 2 and the Warhammer 40k MMO. Still a good ways off for either game.

Something to think about on mmorpg.com and a global observation (not linked to your personal boredom :)))) . Actually the MORE mediocre and badly designed mmorpg's are being published (FTP or not), the MORE Wow gets a grip on the global market as a dominant player. As you would know: it is not one player that decides the outcome of a game (or market situation), it is the global actions of all the players in the same competition. And ... so every new mediocre launched mmorpg (FTP or not) is just reinforcing the strategic lead of Blizzard. It's a kind of new in PC games (as most games don't out live their engines), but it is the perfect example of a Nash_equilibrium in the present day MMORPG gaming field. Happy searching... :)))
Look Zorndorf lost a star again. ;)) The inconvenient linked truth hurts on mmorpg.com |

So you'll do the usual game hopping. Not very promising for long life subs games :))) Typical for mmorpg.com players and the most simple reason why ALL the new games loose their players after 2 months. They dabble a bit in everything and forget to play anything. Look Zorndorf lost a star again. ;)) The inconvenient linked truth hurts on mmorpg.com |
