If you have a high end PC, you can tweak FFXI and make it look much much better than the best basic settings FFXI comes standard with! For those that don't find FFXI to look very good anymore, you can tweak and enhance it!

Best Settings only using the FFXI Config: {Background Resolution is at 1024*1024, Mip Mapping @1, etc!}

Enhanced Settings using RegEdit Tweaking:  {Background Resolution is at 2048*2048, Mip Mapping @6, instead of 1, etc!}

Above, but with Windower increasing viewing distance and other small tweaks:  {View Distance increased from 1 to 20, etc!}

haHA!  I KNEW I wasn't crazy for remembering Windower made the graphics better!

Honestly, it makes it look almost as good as the regEdit stuff.

Been using windower since its creation and Square really doesn't give a shit unless you're trying to RMT or use bots! 

a tutorial  on how to set up things like better draw distance to high screen resoltion or other things to make mondels and textures look nicer would be appretiated here!

I tried google and came up with nothing helpful, I even posted a few forum posts at the time, and if you can tell me wthat would help me sinec I am not great with hex edit and no instructions.

You've posted these images in a handful of threads here, but described your process in none.  If you have already posted this somewhere and "tire of repeating it" then please post links to where you posted it.  Google reveals nothing.  What purpose does posting your screen comparisons to the community serve other than to boost your ego if you don't share the step-by-step instructions with other players?

Just as in the other thread "Leveling Speed" is it really so hard to try and think for oneself and figure something out without someone holding your hand.  The title already mentions how its done....think and use search!
