Hi I'm new to Atlantica but so far I think it's pretty awesome!  Anyways I just have a couple quick questions.

First of all what server would you guys recomend and why?

Also, what is the best weapon to pick for your main character for pvping?

Server probably doesn't matter, especially if you started playing already. I'm partial to Thebes though, since that's where I play.

And I would say Musician is probably the best for PvP, followed by Power Saw and then Staff.

just go to server delphi its a newest server and it will be fit to you becasue there are so many new players there compare to other previous servers that have alreay many high levels and you cant catch up with their levels because of gap level... you can join in our guild in server delphi...

Best server for new players is Delphi since it is the latest server, there are only a few high leveled players compared to other servers. For PvP, it really depends on your build. You can create a great lineup on different jobs of your main character, as long as your build is complementary to your main. Also, if you want a powersaw, you need a 100 leveled character before you can choose powersaw.

+1 agree... you can try all the serves if you want... lol...

Plus starting at a new server mightbe tricky. ;)

Experienced players start there again too, so in the Free League you mostly fight against powerful twinks, who know what they do.

Yes I believe it has a good community...a lot of people helping...partying...and even going to dungeons even if we do not know each other personally...

I'm in Mycenae. The server like other said its not that important still you can get friends there..Just enjoy the game...^^

Hi! I just started playing Atlantica in mycenae and my main is a cannoneer. Any tips for me?

 wow you must have never played the game before. Musician isn't bad. Powersaw is terrible. maybe the worst even. Staff is generally a powerful main especially with the current double monk builds for pvp. Heavy aoe plus the ability to still heal while having two monks is pretty annoying. If you watch the korean titan pvp tournaments you will see all sorts of main though. Atlantica isn't the kind of game with a cookie cutter formation. Every week it's something different. And of course depends on what you want to do. Aoe builds typically will go staff or bow. stun builds might go gun, cannon, or axe to sub out a northern viking. Or could go spear for ap drain. As you play more you will figure out what style you like best.

Just asking. Are you referring to me? I know I'm just a newbie. Any tips on what mercs to hire?

I really should post instead of just reading.OK the community in atlantica online when i was playing was amazing.I walked around the starting few areas oh looky there somebody sent me a gift 10k i send a thank you. 5 minutes later i get lvl 50 items from some random person i give another thank you.Overall the community was just great, except all the thank yous i sent.

Most ofthe time I spent the day just on free league^^ because it gave me an exp + silver coin.. anyways there's a lot to do in the game, the places are good your like touring in the different country in the world..

I heard that the princess increases the defense and accuracy of long-ranged mercenaries. Does that include cannon?

all who use the second armor (light) are ranged units. All who use the first armor (heavy) are malee and all the robe users are magic units.

Maybe question from me now...is this game worth playing without paying for anything or it's just another pay2win game?

IMO you pay just to get faster to the end game. The merc room license is a bit nasty (you get 5 of them and each works for 7 days from the day you decide to use one) because there are many mercenaries that you would like to test to see if they are worth or not and mercenary liceses seem very important but this issue can be solved by creating more chars and everytime trieing something new.

EDIT1: Short answer: For me yes. It's definately worth it.
