I don't think GW is dead; but I just started playing (and having a blast so far).

Not sure why GW isn't classified as a MMO ... It's definitely a MMO but a very different one than WoW.

It's not a gear/gold/group grind like WoW is.  Sure GW has it's faults like anything else.  However, it's a refined machine where WoW is just too big and open IMO.

Played last night with guildies. Still a ton of people play. Lions Arch, Kamadan and Kaineng Center all packed with peoples.

Is it just me or are there even less players playing after the 4th anniversary and after the note that GW2 won´t release this year and probably even not next year?

It's just you... I know for a fact that people have just recently bought the game and are enjoying it.

An amazing display of logic right there. I especially liked the big amount of arguments you posed for why GW is dead.

 GW isn't dead yet, but i think it's dying out, many of the old players no longer play. i don't bored after the first 3 months. But every once in a while i log back on and its fun, after you quit for a while. I'm not sure, but it seems like more people are quiting then joining, its been harder to get groups for dungeons, then it used to and stuff.

And about your comment. Its retarded too. GW has been a major financial succes and the low lvl cap was there from the start.

You cant call it dieing yet, as long as release date of GW 2 unknown. It has no fees, so ppl will keep playing it. On the other hand, it wont have new chapters or other major content anymore though.

GW doesnt use servers like other MMO's and without a new server, most players will be at the endgames of the chapters or just playing HM. You cant blame them if theyve seen the rest of the game through and through. In other older MMO's you usually need a new server to find a lot of ppl in the starting areas. I bet that its difficult to get a full group in Prophecies.

->Ogpal did you even played this game? I level till max level in 6 hours tops in Factions and 8-9 hours in Proph and NF when not using Dwarven Boxing, if I do it takes less then 3 hours to reach max (with scrolls ofc.)......

Wow, ignorance can really entertain us sometimes. LOW LEVELING SPEED, AHAHAHA.

 I do not think that GW is dying, it just has changed. Once the releases of the new expansions its almost a given that the oldest one will not be played as much as the newer ones. It went from being everyone was new to the game and they were all trying to beat the game(s) and just have that satisfaction of completion. Now some people PvP constantly after they have beaten the campaigns. Others title grind, or farm gold. Now that they have completed the game(s) some dont feel the need to make another character and start over again. Some just choose to get that 15k armor for there favorite character and stuff like that. I dont think GW will die until GW2 has been out for a while.
