In a post to the Aion beta forums, EU Community Manager Ayase has announced the start date for their next phase of beta: The event is scheduled to start Friday, June 19th (9:00 PM CEST, 8:00 PM BST, noon PST) and to end on Monday, June 22nd (8:59 AM CEST, 7:59 AM BST, Sunday 21st 11.59 PM PST). In CBT2 we will want to focus on the very first area of Asmodae and have therefore set the level limit to 10, primarily to make sure it's properly run through, but also to allow testers to stop and perhaps smell the flowers more, to dive into the quests and quest texts more carefully and to better explore the arch-classes. More information will come shortly and more beta events are definitely set to arrive in the future, so stock up on those canned beans (okay, maybe something else) and stay tuned! We can't read the topic this announcement comes from without an account in the beta Aion forums which require a beta account. Anyway, really looking forward it. |

LOL Anyway here is the post from AS and the link about the 2nd event time's. Hey everyone- What a start to beta weekend it was! Mobs and mobs of giddy fans bombarded the beta server Siel to have their first glimpse at the goodness that is Aion (now with English language action!)
For many, this is a day long overdue but from talking to random AionSource patrons running around Atreia, that was no longer a concern. I can't tell you how great it is to be running along and recognize a name I've seen daily for the last ~3 years. You both stop on a dime, turn around, and express your excitement in the only way you know how- jumping ridiculously in place for a few seconds. Very good times. For many of you, you've yet to have this chance, but hopefully this annoucement will ease your wait a little bit. MR Mage was kind enough to PM me an e-mail he received from NCsoft concerning the beta access he received for being a Tabula Rasa subscriber before it closed down. Read on: Quote: Aion closed beta events begin on June 5, 2009. Tabula Rasa subscribers get to be among the first to experience the incredible world of Aion. Space in the closed beta is very limited, but you won't need to hunt through the Internet to find a key?we have applied an access key already to your NCsoft Master Account! First Closed Beta Event We're looking forward to seeing you this weekend in Atreia. Head to https://secure.ncsoft.com/login to activate your beta serial code and to start downloading Aion. Beta Event 6/5 - 6/7 Preorder Aion to ensure access to this and all future beta events. EDIT: Ayase commented on the lower 1-10 level cap. Quote: KDO Website

Will more beta keys be given out? It was disapointing to see that last 5k batch given out without any kind of early anouncment from mmorpg. A heads up this time would be grand. |

I paid in full on direct2drive just to get beta access and to be honest those games never interested me and now they are collecting dust. This time around i am just looking forward to a free beta pass so i can decide if i want to buy the game instead of forking out cash just to get access. |

I live in the USA and all I want to know is why do I get a beta key if we can't play? DOes it really make any sense to offer me a beta key if I can't use it? When to you perceive NA being able to take part?

The only one how should be intrsesed in this are the guys who missed the 1st beta weekend. Theres a lvl cap of lvl 10 this round it was badenuf the 1st time when we could move forward past the problum let alone stuck with the problum we had . Just be rdy for big time KSing slow quest items respawning then dealing with the 50+ waiting on same thing and slow mob respawning. |

I've been following AION for the past couple years. I've been very interested in the game for a long time. Being that pre-ordering has officially started today I'm thinking of preordering to take advantage of the beta/preview weekends. Just wanted to get the opinion, from those who've been in the beta so far, on how they think my system will handle the game. I've seen the system reqs, and I'm alittle concerned about my CPU causing me problems. The computer is about 4 years old now (If I'm remembering correctly).
CPU: Athlon 64 3500 2.2ghz single core :( RAM: 3 gigs DDR2 GPU: nVidia 8800 GTS (640mb version) Any input would be greatly appreciated. |

Hmm....i bought the game at www.ebgames.com and received a beta key. I registered the game and received a confirmation e-mail saying: "You have successfully applied the following serial code to NCsoft account 'x'". But... After downloading and installing the client for 5 hours i get a message saying i dont have access with this account.... Anyone know what to do? Thanks.

You shouldn't have any problems, IIRC the chinese beta didn't tax my CPU much. Your video card will probably be more of a limiting factor but as long as you don't go nuts with the graphics options you should get a very playable frame rate. They really designed the game to be playable on a much larger range of PCs, It's no AoC |

that 8800 gts nvidia card will have no problems that card rates close to the 3rd best video card nvidia makes--the new 290 and 295 beat it by not very much--- You can try out diffenent card on the nvidia site to see how well you system runs compared to other cards. |

Enough with the betas, release the game already. I mean, how long has the game been released in Asia? |

I went down to Gamestop and put down 5 bucks for a preorder. They gave me a beta key in a spiffy case :) If I end up not liking the game, I'm only out 5 bucks. Completely worth it. I was in on the last beta weekend and if I have as much fun this weekend as I did last, I'll definitely be giving them the rest of the money for the preorder. (I actually put down 20 bucks, got 4 copies for my bros and a friend :) |
