Yours is not the path of force, though force is often needed to clear the path. |

I just miss stuff like this. I remember buying these and being so excited. And then not being able to wait for their next album. I know some of them are still around and making great stuff, but I'm just using them as an example. It's hard to find anything today to use. Ned's Atomic Dustbin - Kill Your Television Toad The Wet Sprocket - Walk On The Ocean The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize?

Your probably just not listening to music. Try some Dvorak www.youtube.com/watch Classical music gets such a bum rap, just because there are no words does not mean there is no music. Just the same with people that read magazines. Eventually you'll find yourself unfulfilled. Move onto novels to get the real effect. Go back to the root of music to find out where your going from there. |

I used to be a big metalhead (by the way, those MPE songs are cool), but lately I've switched to some more techno-ish music. Usually when I'd get burned out on metal I'd go to classical, but recently I've been looking for something that fuses metal and electro. Aggrotech is the closest I can find - it's a subgenre of industrial that I suppose isn't really popular in the US... Here's a few examples from Grendel:
If anyone's interested in more bands like that, let me know.
Otherwise, if you're looking for something not as harsh... I don't know how everyone feels about Muse, but I enjoy them: All of their songs can be found on www.muse.mu/index.php; just click on media at the bottom and select any of their albums
And if you're just looking for something to chillax to, you can't go wrong with Massive Attack!
I'm out of ideas for now, unless you want some really obscure stuff you'll never see in stores |

Are you a little depressed, Gnomexxx? A lot of your posts sound a little sad. If you don't even enjoy music you once enjoyed, maybe it's not the music so much as you going through something right now. I know that when I'm feeling down, I lose interest in a lot of things I usually enjoy. Just a thought. |

On gnomexxx. You can't be serious. Music is the universal language. As some say, it makes the world go round. Maybe the music today isn't as good as the old days, in fact I like the old songs better than today's songs. But whatever I feel, it's like there's a song that goes with it. Well, that's all for now. Hope you will feel better soon. ^^v |

I kind of agree with gnomexxx on the part that music has become a bit mediocre nowadays. Or those are mainstream music perhaps. Recently, singers just sing revivals and there are some (or a lot actually) who can't do good live performances. It's a thing that kind of saddens me, you hear pretty good music, but when it's sung live, it feels totally different. But that's when we start to discover other types of music too. We get tired of mainstreams sometimes and we find other good music just from looking around. That's also when we discover other genres too. As you have read, I have my negative opinions about present music, but im not losing hope with music as well. God bless those who honestly write and sing for the sake of expressing themselves, not sacrificing their quality works for the sake of just fame, mainstream and money Ü |
