To be honest I only see F2P games putting A LOT of pressure on P2P games.   But then again a lot of that presure gets reduced due to the very simple fact that F2P games just don't have a box version to sell in stores or a box version to foot the bill of advertising and initial content.

I think F2P doesn't put any pressure on P2P games. THey are more like WoW. WoW didn't get all it's subs from Everquest. It enlarged the base, drawing in casual players that didn't play MMORPGs before.

F2P does the same thing, draw in lots of players that can't play a P2P game because they don't have the money for the monthly fee, and that in turn draws the players that like to be on top, and have these poor people under them.

I don't think that model appeals to the P2P gamer that is looking for a totally different experience.

Exactly what this gentlemen said.

F2P is a marketting tool designed to exploit customers.

P2P is a service agreement with both parties best interest in mind.

Best thing I've read about F2P v P2P, I wouldn't go so far as to say all F2P exploit the customers though.
