Has anyone ever stoped to think the main reason most of these games fail is beacuse you compare it to WoW and cry how it is the same as wow then just end up going back to wow.... It is a circle for most people, dislike wow leave for another game get bored go see what else is out, Play for a day say this is like wow complain for the next 3 days....log back into wow and complain... What makes a game like WoW is it the hot bar?? is it the story horde Vs Allaince?? is it the long crafting system that makes no sence and eats your soul?? maybe its the fact you play classes like WoW?? Is it the monsters in the world?? Is it the combat system?? Cause I am here to tell you everything in wow has been done before. First game to have a crafting system was UO first game to have Instance Dungeons was EQ , First game to have battle grounds was AO first game to have that type of combat system was EQ... Those classes are all stolen from the old D@D wow in no way was the paver for todays MMO world and getting tired of people thinking it was. WoW in its own right is a good game and yes there are some wow clones out there. But to compare another game to wow as a clone then it should have most of the elements of WoW... So far Aion has a few but it is a basic MMO it has its own lore and its own style... Are some of the in game game play like wow yes but once again WoW was not the first to do it..

The most embarrassing part of Aion is the translation in the English patch. A chest is called a cube for example, you have no idea what they mean by that until someone tells you. I spent 10 minutes trying to find backpacks until someone told me they're translated as cubes.

Besides I really think the preview beta client is the same one I played in the Chinese retail, with the same family and friends english patch that was leaked... I myself was under the impression that this would just be a free trial or preview however that's not the case. See the beta boards if you even care. Works pretty well for me. But some people just see what they want to see. They complain that a game is the same as the other games, but as soon as they see something different they complain again because it isn't like what they are used to.

Oy... Yes it's already released so talking about something that is already public knowledge is not an NDA break and most of what people are talking are not. However if I were to start addressing why these supposed issues are there I would be breaking the NDA... Again if you are a tester check out the beta forums it's all answered there. And yes, calling a game a clone within 1 hour gameplay is a bit steep, the first 10-20 levels of aion isn't shit, you don't get wings untill 20 I believe and class change at 10. I am sorry to agree - but the game is not what I hoped for either. Was hoping for a wow killer - but it's far fram that. How hard can it be to make "the" game?

Aion is basically the same type of game as WoW with updated graphics and more interesting pvp. Those are the top complaints just about everyone has about WoW - the graphics are cartoony/outdated and the pvp is repetitve as hell. WoW won't 'die' for a very long time because you can run the thing on practically any system. Aion will beat WoW in the global market though, no doubts there. The combat system is just as fluid and more thought out class-wise, so it's really not a hard call to make. It may not beat it in NA, but NA makes up a tiny portion of the total people playing WoW anyway.

We are playing on an early version 1.0 ; Korea retail is on v1.3. On the beta forums they have also posted that we will get a higher version at release.
