Maybe its to soon to make conclusions, but it smells like that what its every time...
great cinematics that lie to you and give a hyped hollywood movie and game looking totally different later...
just played for about an hour, and till this point, it feels same like i felt with games like rohan etc... cheap f2p gameplay
HEY! NCSOFT´s GOT a WOW CLONE, THEY NOW EARN MONEY!!!! Hopefully there will be any drastically differences showing soon...

If you're going to be a retard and call shit same old etc, then atleast correct yourself and say EQ clone, because guess what wow is...
Oh and btw, every game will have quests, because if they don't people will bitch about grinding, even though stupid people will cry and call it a wow clone =/. And yes, calling a game a clone within 1 hour gameplay is a bit steep, the first 10-20 levels of aion isn't shit, you don't get wings untill 20 I believe and class change at 10.
Everygame ever made is/was/will be a clone in some form of everything, even that special game your playing I bet. |

Just for info this is not a pre-view, although I'm sure most are playing it that way. Since you can only make one race, the Elyos it is a beta. I feel confident that the dev's are looking for feed back on the translation. Looking for misspelled words, how the quests are reading, do they show the lore etc. Over all though I am having fun in the game and not embarrassed to say so. |

the only thing beta about this game are the translations. The game was released around Dec last year people, this is about as polished as its gonna get when its released in NA. I would call this a preview of the game if there was a name to call it something. |

Im having fun. I just hit level 10 and I got my wings to glide. I constantly was dueling people and also I completed every single quest so far. I just chose gladiator and im pretty excited to start down that road. Once retail hits, I'll be a cleric or assassin. I actually enjoy the story because I dont have to pay attention to it if I dont want to but if I do then its easy to understand and get back into. I also dont mind the "kill x amount" and "collect y amount" of quest. Its the staple of mmos and while everybody bitches and moans about it, nobody can come up with better besides experience through pvp. Well, that will come later :)

Play for more than an hour.
Aion is a little slow paced and boring in those early levels but then again so i every MMO it does really really pick up in pace as you gain more chain skills and is a fantastic game. |

um yes it will. Beta and live are 2 different client versions. That means many patches in between. |

You probably don't know that the game is more than 6months old in Korea and it's still gaining subs. It's beat WoW over there. I doubt you know that since it's launch in China like 2months ago, it's got millions of subs and they're opening new regions every couple of weeks. Â Flop? You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Â I agree that it won't drastically change the game play, or anything in the early levels, but there's nothing that needs changing. Everything works in a great way, quite the contrary of any of the flops you're talking about. The only complaints you're hearing is that it's a "WOWÂ CLONE", most ignorant statement ever. There are no complaints on any game feature, content, combat, performance etc. The question isn't whether Aion will flop or not, it's whether it will be a resounding success in the west, or just the normal, hundreds of thousands subscribers base. |

Let's not compare the asian MMO market with the western one. WoW is, after all, a western MMO with western things in it. Offcourse AION beats it way over there. AION beating WoW in the west, not sure. It might, but it might not. We'll see.  |

Actually, I do know those things. And you clearly have problems with reading comprehension. I never claimed that Aion would flop. I merely pointed out the the logical fallacy of claiming that 'It's just beta.' Nothing major is going to change between now and beta. That is the basic point of a beta test. As to wether Aion flops or not, who knows

I for one will not install it on my computer as long as it has Gameguard attached. But I do hope it succeeds because competition is good for the market.
