Question?   Is there alot of people on this game now?

I think this is the best game ever made if there is alot of people playing it. I love sitting out in the woods and listening to the birds in the day as i watch for enemy players trying to take out are bace.

And night time with that AA gun and them plains shooting at each other with the pretty lights going threw the air just so real to me.

The only game you can turn up the sound and go eat something and hear if some tank is rolling up close to you.

Guns sound so real and everything is baced on real deal.  But with out alot of ppl this game is not that good.

Ok  ,  to much about what i like.

Is there lot s of people in this game as of right now anyone know?

I always find at least one large battle at all times....AO..area of attacks are required to be placed on a town for that town to be capturable and this forces players into fighting zones. The more players on, the more AOs can be applied so, even in the early moriing there is a battle. Evening US hours there can be 5-6 battles going on at once. Before. So, yes is your answere.

Thanks i think iam going to join in again theres no mmo that comes close to this as far as real life comes.

MMOs come out all the time now , but they lack the #1 thing to keep ppl playing there game. And that thing is a Reason to kill and a reason to die.

Nothing is good about a game if you never lose nothing or gain nothing from winning and loseing.

WW2 Online has that .  If you leave the game ,  and six hours later you come back,  your team may still be fighting for that same land when  you come back on.

Nothing like loging in and your team tells you we need you and everyone else now!

If the game dont have reason, then the name of the game is boring!

Depends on the time .... most of the time no there are not many.. you can get a feel for how many by the numbers of AOs.  It would be nice if there were thousands of players.  I would say most of the time there are less then 200.  It used to be that you would find a guy in your kill list twice max.  Now you find them 4,5,6 times.  This is disheartening.  Therefore I disagree with the assessment above.

As said, the number of AOs is directly proportional to the number of players. Always at least AO, if no High Commands are on, teh system will place  AOs althought because of the times I play, I always see at least 4 and on weekends have seen six. Angrif says if you kill the same guy 4, 5 times then there are few ppl on. Would seem the guy is coming from the same spot, going to the same spot and angriff was staying in the same spot"). Never worry, there is always a fight, we can dispute numbers forever.

They just put in a patch for the patch..they found a bug that was CTDing people with AMD using XP. They do stay on top of their patches.

Actually my comments are mostly kills in the air. The Air always goes to the same spot because there is a RADAR thing the shows where the enemy is. Therefore the air concentrates in a few small areas. On the ground it is concentrated even more because the game will only allow Attack Orders (AOs where the capture rules are activated) based on the game population. The Default minimum is 4 and is rarely over 6.

This game would be really cool with the Eve Online type of population of 20 to 30 thousand players at anyone time. The gameplay area would be too small if there were that many players online. That is why all of Europe was originally modeled but because the population is usually so small they put in concentrators like AOs and Radar to let you know where the other players are. Therefore 40 players in one place on both sides make a big battle. Unfortunately it does not do much for full front battles that used to be in this game before all the players got bored with nothing of merit being added. Fixing bushes out of the middle of some building warrants a mention in the developement notes of this game. (dont believe me?  try the twitter http://twitter.com/corneredrats)

........

Cause they need to save the 20 people that play the game with AMDs or the game would be imbalanced.

Ya that is funny and very typical.  It is probably why the game does not progress very fast.  The coding is so mismanaged from the getgo that everytime something new gets added it breaks 4 other things.  The Rats often admit it themselves that they are continually fixing things that broke from the new stuff.  It is sad really.  The amount of dev time needed to continually fix things and often things break (like being able to get on Fairmilles from the boarding net) and they just never think they are important enough to fix.  That one is several years old.  The problem is that they reduce variation in the game.  Maybe everyone every 10 mins is not trying to climb onto a Fairmille while swimming but often such a small feature makes an cool factor feeling in a game of this sort.  WWII Online loses so much cool factor each patch it is incredible and players are forced to fight their systems to figure out what went wrong and in some cases just give up and decide that that feature is not needed.  Just like so many dumb down their graphics in an attempt to stop stutters around AO towns.

The Rats put in AOs to concentrate players to make it seem as the game is a big battle.  Yet, when that many people get into an area the game can't handle the calcuation/drawing of all the weapons fire and causes lag or stutters.

So instead of rushing into 1.31 to put in new things they are forced to spend hundreds of manhours fixing something that has been in open beta for 2 months.  Why do you think open beta was such a flop?  It was because there was nothing new and most people dont do it cause it will mess with their settings.  Case in point was that most players this patched reported the least trouble if they did not load open beta to help test.
