When I try launching the game I get this odd gameguard error. Here's a picture of the error. Any ideas?

Firewall error, Gameguard often doesn't run on Vista if you don't turn it off. Windows sees Gameguard as a threat to your PC and it will try to block it, resulting in an error when Gameguard tries to update. |

Shouldn't you be asking these questions in the beta forums since you are still under the NDA?

If you're using Windows 7, check this link: http://blog.integrii.net/?p=231 |

I have fully disabled windows firewall and defender, and have set it to run in windows xp sp 2, but still get the same error.
EDIT* That gameguard fix makes 32 bit users blue screen so I am not going to try that. |

I fixed by using the the "right click run as admin" option on the installer. |

this was an issue in Tcos as well, i had to disable my virus program while playing, this may be the same case, especially if you are using the free AVG virus program playing eq2 and two worlds |

If I have to disable my Antivirus and risk a hack, especially since I am playing a korean MMO, they can fuck themselves. Truly. I can see why Anet allows separation from the NC Crap loader. |
