Just to be clear I pre-ordered the game from gamestop and I read on the back of the box that I have access to all Aion Beta Weekend events. Does this include this weekend? or is this just for the Beta key giveaway winners?

if you've registered your pre-order key, and your account status says "playable", then yes.  You're able to play this weekend and all the following weekends to come

If I recall from the AION website the preorder does not start till the 9th of June. My guess is you are able to get into beta's starting the 9th. Hope you have enuff fingernails to chew till the 9th my friend.

Since it says all I would make the assumption that they meant all.

I've done the gamestop pre-order thing in the past and never received my early access or beta keys. I use amazon now for all pre-orders and they have a perfect record as well as free shipping.

Well i just got the key from gamestop.com and it works  insteed of saying like before beta now says preorder = playable

I preordered off gamestop's website

Just got my beta key today... and spend the last 3 hours downloading the client.

Not I just have to wait until 3pm (12pm PDT) for the server to come online.

Same, but I pre-ordered from EB Games, which I suppose is owned by Game Stop, and received my beta key yesterday.

Downloading this game in 3 hours is amazing.  I'm on the West Coast and with an average dl speed of 270kb, took by many hours; left it dl while I slept, but set to go now.   On my NCsoft Account Mgmt. summary it shows as "Pre-Order, Playable"

just picked up preorder form Gamestop this morning, along with beta key.  D/L'ing it now about about 600kb/sec.  Not terrible, should be done in about 2 hours if it keeps up (6% in atm).  Perfect timing since my fiance is gone for the weekend, so just me, the dogs, and Aion beta.  woot! :P

LOL, I'm hoping to pickup mine today for the BOTH me and the wife! It will be me, the wife my twin girls and the dog this weekend. Now just figure out how to get the 11 month olds and dog to play MMOs :P

You are in for a real treat.    I have twins, boy/girl, turning 16 this month OMG...  !!!

Lot of work of course, but the joy from day 1 to now is through the roof.    Hope you have a video camera ready.   I took TONS of video and pictures over the years, and trust me, you can't take enough.    Looking back on all that is priceless.    If I were you, I'd get a HD Video Camera, even if it means paying it off on a Credit Card.    You can never get these years back.

PS: I had my son playing games with me at a very early age, and honestly, it was a mistake lol.     Not sure if it contributed to his Xbox 360 Halo addiction, but it's not that cute later on when education is more important than video games, so be careful what you wish for  =)

has anyone from canada (specifically GTA area) been able to get the beta card with the pre order? i ran around today to a couple of eb games and they don't have the beta card, just curious if we canadians have access also.

Congrats! I'm not sure if these are your first (our's were) but you are going to really enjoy them. The downside is it's a tough first few months since you can't take turns at night feeding, you both have to be up every 2.5 hours! As mentioned above , video video video. It's great to look back!

I just ran down to GameStop grabbed a couple of Pre-orders for $5 and I now have a playable serial code.  The clerk was a bit reluctant to sell me two copies...he gave the 'I'm not sure if I have two" (of course he did!).

I just stopped by Gamestop on the way home from work, spent 5 bucks and preordered the game and got the beta key. I've activated my account, and account status says "Playable". I'm currently downloading the game and it's at 40% downloading at about 1920kb/sec which is pretty decent speed.

Should be ready to go at 3pm EST. :)

I called three stores here in New York and NONE of them know what I am talking about and none of them were sent pre-order keys.

most of the time with preorder stuff the staff keeps them untill they get reported lol

but the odds of 3 store seems they got shafted

The first preview event that starts on June 5th and ends on the 7th was originally a closed beta, however we have secured a limited number of spots for this event.

For customers that preordered at a physical store, you will need to contact the store you preordered at for assistance in getting the preorder disc.

From the sounds of this message is the key should include this weekends beta event.  Although, by now, some people should already be playing.
