So the OP started ranting about how they were only deving it for the 360 and not the PC, then ppl pointed out it is actually also being released for the PC, so he decide to pick some other random thing to pick on Valve, jeezz talk about not sticking to your principles, for a person that wants to fight for a cause you sure change "cause" very quickly.
I like Valve and I love Steam I would never stop buying game there, I just wish I could stick all my games into steam, so I dont have to worry about DVDs anymore.

Valve can't be the old EA until they start buying up game studios ruining their products and closing the down. They can't be the New EA because EA is the new EA. Your premise fails. "Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice." ~Greys Law |

Valve is like the New Valve not the old Valve but the New Valve, Ya Follow? The following statement is false |

I got mixed feelings over this, the games been out for less than a year and there already banging out a sequal, you would of thought they would of brought out a expansion pack first before putting out a new full priced game. But on the over hand i really love the game and will most definitly get it because i know I will enjoy it and play it for hours upon hours, I think if a lesser game pulled the same stunt then I would probably stay away. |

With the amount of crying and nerdrage that goes on over at the tf2 and l4d forums anyway, this comes as no surprise. How ever much the nerdragers want to claim "90% of your loyal fans are angry!!11" the fact is that its really only a small portion who feel 'ripped off' because their pet game got a sequel after a year. No doubt that the majority of l4d players have clocked up some decent hours and had a lot of fun with l4d and will continue to do so in the sequel, which will of course be much improved over the first. Considering that even for a 7 month old game it, like counter strike and tf2, still has a huge amount of people playing it means that the game itself was a pretty good investement for most people. But yeah, this is nothing new, the crying and whining on the steam forums is like this all the time about something. Get ready for the ridiculous 'boycott' when it comes out and coolnerdstance on l4d2 players all being 'noobs' or something, whilst the game still sells like hotcakes. |

Huge overreactions and trolling. I don't even visit the TF2 or L4D sections on the SUF anymore. Pointless bickering and not a single drop of reason. |

Did Valve say they wouldn't be supporting L4d1? I didn't read an announcement saying that at all. Link it if they did please. Playing: EvE, Ryzom |

Even with my pessimism, I'm pretty sure I'll buy L4D2 because the first game was the few MP ones lately that made me lose hours of sleep in the first days I played. I bet a lot of people will end giving up on that boycott, because Valve aren't bad developers at all. I agree with whoever said EA might have offered a big paycheck to Valve as incentive for the sequel. They saw a lot of potential and competent developers, it's a sure good investment. |

Nothing wrong with a mindless rant sometimes but I'll surely be picking up L4D2 at launch. The game will be too much fun. |

dude valve is much too good to be compared to the borg of pc gaming. so they screw up sometimes. they also gave us HL/HL2. what has EA done for me lately? they bought mythic and bioware so they can churn out 2 stinkburgers. valve gets a pass on this one from me due to the good things they have done. |

Valve DID officially say they were going to support L4D even moreso than TF2. |

Well it would be at least good if they give us some kind of real story. I actually never played single player mode because there is nothing to see expect maybe the achievements but i don't care about them.

Seriously.. this crying over L4D2 when you've seen all of about uh, lets see.... pretty much NOTHING on it.. is getting quite out of hand. I don't know you but from reading your posts you're CLEARLY not a Hard Core Member. All of your 1900+ posts PROBABLY contain crying over something. It's pretty obvious. Now, shut your childish mouth and go with your little "L4D2 Boycott" Community.
Now I know which people to avoid on this forum. Little brats like you. Get the mirror out, the only whiner in this thread is you. Lobotomist always has a good point to make, whether I agree with it or not. If you don't like discussing things with those that disagree with you, maybe you should move to another board. |

Also there is story to be found ingame, you just have to look for it. Read the graffiti on the safe room walls for example. |

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3174667 Gamers: Looks sweet! Uh, but what's with the lack of content. This is it? Valve: Oh, don't worry. Like we did with Team Fortress 2, we'll continue to update the game with new maps, weapons, characters, achievements, and so on. Oh, and there's also going to be modding tools shortly after launch, so the community can create a bunch of fun campaigns for everybody to enjoy. Gamers: Well, if that's the case sign me up. You guys have a history of adding and updating to your games for years, so we trust you. --Game Launches-- Gamers: Wow, great game, but now I'm bored. When are the updates and modding tools coming out Valve? Valve: Soon. --2 Months Pass-- Gamers: Uh, Valve, you there? --4 Months Pass-- Valve: Hey, remember those two campaigns that you couldn't play before in Versus? Now you can! Also, we have a new mode. Basically, we just take a few rooms from existing campaigns and make you fight zombies until you die 30 seconds later. Oh, and modding tools are still not done. Gamers: Cool, but we were expecting new stuff, not recycling stuff that's already in the game and giving us the ability to play those two campaigns which we were supposed to at launch. Valve: We still have a lot planned for Left 4 Dead! ---2 Months Pass-- Valve: Hey everybody, Left 4 Dead 2 is coming out. It's got new campaigns, new characters, and new weapons! How innovative is that! The best part is that it's going to be full price! Gamers: What the hell! You promised us all this new content for Left 4 Dead, which is the entire reason I even bougth that game when it has so little content. Now you're putting out a sequel that could easily be DLC content. Valve: Yeah, we kinda were planning on giving you guys all this via free updates, but we decided it was better to ignore our promises to our fans and make money off of you dumb people. Tools: Errr...new game!? Hell yeah! I'd better start saving my birthday money. Everbody Else: Screw you Valve. We payed full price for a game that had almost no content just because you promised us you'd add to it, but instead of delivering on your promises of updating the game you're expecting people to pay for it while keeping existing L4D players hanging. Valve: It doesn't matter. Look at the 1up.com site. There's a ton of stupid people who don't mind paying for something that was supposed to be free. Sorry, but dumb people now make us money. average_gamer: Exactly. Me wants shiney game. Boycotters dumb. Who care if dis game only DLC. --Fin-- |

Anyways, your bitching needs to stop. It's getting VERY old.
Well since you don't seem to be able to provide any counter points and your only intent seems to attack another poster instead of trying to discuss the issue, you have relagated yourself ot major troll status. |
