Neither, although out of the two Warhammer is the better game. That really isn't a compliment to War though considering AoC is a pos. 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself. 3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose. |

Isne it like saying saying do you want to die from the plague or clubered like a canadian seal pup to death ? neither choice is very attractive. Ive played both games at release and honestly both games are MASSIVE disapointments for me. |

Played both for a few months. Between the two I find myself nostalgic towards AoC more. LineageII | LoTRO | RFO | 9Dragons | Aion | Perfect World | Ether Saga | Dungeon Runners | GuildWars | Hellgate London | tCoS | Warhammer | AoC | Tabula Rasa

Although the premis of the post is troll-bait ..so everyone can post "NOne of the above' and somehow feel they are witty,. IN the end, the two are different games. AoC is having a bit of a revival after a disasterous launch. WAR had a better release but end game repitition has made some players weary. Both are over 6 months old (AoC just celebrated 1 yr) and are maturing My feeling, AOC PVE game , crafting and immersion is superior to WAR WAR's PVP/RvR is superior to AoC Hope that helps |

I have played both. I definitely prefer AoC. I like the graphics, story, and combat system in AoC more. AoC has come a long way since their crappy launch. |

Me too. Warhammer have a great world but Mythic could have succeded better with bringing it to life. But to be fair have AoC 6 months lead with patching in fixes, maybe Mythic can turn things when they finally introducing the missing 4 citys, unless they have cancelled them for good. Both games do need to make the endgame more fun. |

I think all in all I enjoyed AoC more than WAR. AoC just has more to differenciate it from other games in terms of its setting and unique combat system. I felt like I was playing a PVP-oriented WOW clone most of the time in WAR and that really bothered me. After playing WOW for 4 years on and off, I really can't handle playing inferior copies of it. The real shame is that both AoC and WAR had such huge potential and massive followings only to blow it at release. I really wish developers would learn from companies like Blizzard and not release games until they're actually ready. |

I have to say I only played WAR in Beta - I had the CE ordered but cancelled in the last moment.. There is something about the game that just feels old.. I love the idea of a Goblin Squig Herder, but once you play something is missing. AoC was a great game. Horrible PR performance (outright misinformation to playerbase) but it suffered in the later levels. Graphics, music, character builder all that was great. ____________________________ |

Having tried both for a while, I would definitely go with AoC. But that's mostly because WAR is so PvP focused, and I like my more relaxed PvE content for when I have the time to play MMOGs. |

Lesser of two evils? I think AOC WAR is too much themparkisized and too repetitive for my taste .... then again ... in AOC you'd have to put up with channeling a.k.a. instanced public zones. Gah! Hard choice. I'd pick AOC; it feels much more like a true mmorpg where WAR feels more like an rvr themed multiplayer game. p.s. I played both for around three months and to max level with 1 char each

Blizaard's WoW launch was horrible. What kept people around was besides all of the issues it had enough to keep people interested in sticking it out, there wasn't near the amount of other mmos available at that time, and it was hard to raise the roof much with them because they offered tons of extra free time to try and appease the masses. Any mmo that somes out now is going to have a rough go at it unless the devs really work the game over to iron out issues and bugs but much as people like to blame AoC for not living up to its potential on Funcom's historical mismanagement and pitiful customer service there were core issues with the game that caused a lot to say ," Gee...game sure is pretty but man does it ever suck." A crafting system that was a complete joke and utter waste of time, raid content that's the worst I've ever seen in a game, a ridiculous short leveling curve (for 80 levels it's insane how fast you hit max), nothing but raid content (did I mention how bad it is) when you hit 80 to do besides fort attacks/defense. I could go on and on about how bad that game was designed in a multitude of areas that had nothing to do with the bugs or other issues such as ignoring duping for months that people like to say was the reason for the game not living up to its potential. The ineptitude of Funcom in fixing bugs and their customer interaction was really just the icing on a very poorly made cake. The only thing that game has going for it is it does have some breathtaking graphics, their spin on combat was different and rather cool ('cept some classes such as the pom it was still the same old boring crap people mock exists in other games), and bugs and scheduling issues aside the fort attack/defend scenario was a lot of fun. That's it so all in all it's a bad game least in my opinion...really bad. I would love to say the story arc in the game was great but somewhere towards the middle of the story line the orginal writer must have either quit or been fired because the enire starting area and quest line in the beginning of the game is great but man does it ever go downhill as you progress through the game. 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2.
