I think those actions in the trailer were more for dramatic effect, and not game play features. I doubt you will see many of the things in that trailer in the game itself. But yes, they are focusing too much on Jedi imo. Well the Kotor Rpgs were heavy with the Jedi/Sith action I don't think the MMO should be any different. Playing: EvE, Ryzom |

Umm Jedi is supposed to be focused on in Star Wars The Old Republic. Jedi are in their prime during this time, so it makes sense that jedi are the center of focus.

But yes, they are focusing too much on Jedi imo. Every video talks about Jedi history, archives, and how the other classes will interact with said Jedi. I haven't read anything or seen anything that doesn't have some kind of tie to the Jedi arch. This scares me. At this point, I see no reason why anyone would want to be anything other than Jedi being that everything revolves around their story arch. I totally agree with your last sentence. I will be watching and waiting eagerly to see if there is any change if the future that leads me to believe otherwise. |

Star Wars is not just about Jedi. There is a lot more to the universe than just Jedi. It is more about the stuggle between good and evil, and how the relative unknown can struggle through adversity and become a hero whether smuggler, princess, or droid. |

Well they did say every class has its own story. That alone will give people reason to play other classes. Playing: EvE, Ryzom |

It's also safe to assume even IF jedi and sith were that powerful in game, they would be masters/highest tier attainable by a force sensitive person. I'm sure the MMO will toss in a story based nerf bat basicly making all the light saber wielders are jedi knight class ranked at best, so good but not great and can be taken down by a proficent bounty hunter/commando etc. |

I just hope that Bioware does justice to their vision and not let LA bully them around. If they stay true to what THEY say they are going to do then we might have a great game. I'm just nervous. I know how things can change quickly on the development table. What you say I know to be true. But they aren't showing me much of "every class" yet. |

What makes a good MMO? Good quality, good customer service, good business model, good fun. |

I think Bioware started working on this game as SWG began swirling down the toilet years ago. I think this is going to be much better than SWG ever was. I think a fresh start for a StarWars MMO is just what the doctor ordered. P.S. That was an excellent trailer, and putting the MMO in this time period was a very good decision imo. It's nice to see some good work and thinking going into a StarWars MMO for a change. |

That video just schooled SOE on how to make a Star Wars trailer. |

Originally posted by Lateris Indeed, and I bet the game itself will school SOE on how to make a Star Wars MMO. No slight intended towards the original devs of SWG who began a fantastic vision, but were never able to see it realized. Didn't some of them actually go to Bioware? I heard a rumour to that effect. |
