Not sure if this was posted, but my best friend just sent this to me and I thought I would share with everyone.

Discover a fantasy, steampunk world where players create powerful machines, and the line between science and magic is blurred. As two nations do battle, the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

Neo Steam is not new, however Atlus is the new company hosting it.

It's in beta with Gamigo in the EU and due soon with Atlus. Is there a third company that already has it released? I thought it was new as well.

The company that released it shut it down, Atlus is the new NA host...I think the original server was global; but I do not remember.

Well, Atlus Online's Neo Steam is currently in CB, don't know how long that's going to last...just wait until the OB.

There are two version's currently, if you're in NA then wait for Atlus Online's version to go into OB as it is currently in CB.

Banned in America?  <looks out window>  Maybe it's just me, but I just tried Neo Steam this very day, and I live in the USA, much to my shame, but did not have any issues getting the client or checking out the game.

And where did you get the client, Atlus Online (North America) or Gamigo (Europe)..?!

I clicked the link offered by MMORPG.com followed it to the home site, registered and downloaded it from the sites that the homepage offered.  I think it was Onsite or some such mirror not sure of which.

As for the game being full of bugs, well nothing is perfect out of the gate, but the forums on the homepage fixed the bug I got within 5 mins of going to look, the hardest part was finding the right section in the forums and simply scanning the titles until I found the right one.

Open beta began on the 27th.  FYI, you can download from fileplanet also.

OPEN BETA will start on Wednesday, May 27 at 9:30 AM PACIFIC.

Everyone will be able to play in this beta!

If you already have an Atlus Online account, you can log into Neo Steam with the same login information.

We encourage you to download the client beforehand (if you haven't already) and you can choose from our hosting partners here:

What's with the "shame" shit? You don't like my country, the border is that way >>>, pal.

Anyway, I played Neo steam in beta. Not bad for a ftp grinder, but just didn't hold my interest for too long.

In your opinion, why is it garbage?

I tried the open beta and it is pretty bad.  First off, the graphical glitches....I could see through my head.  The graphics aren't that good even for a f2p.  It looks as if it could have been played on the NES.   I haven't actually discovered any storyline, yet.  The animations are bit uninspired.

The fact that it has garbage graphics, sound and gameplay.  Every other F2P (with only a few exceptions) MMO offers the same crap as this one, this one is worse than many, but better than a lot too.

agree

basically, you can define NS as smelly crap that smells worse then some craps, but not as bad as some others

at the end of the day you will realize that crap is crap, and you can do better things with your time than smelling crap
