No one is trying to silence you, I've read every thread about it, however having roughly forty active threads on the subject is not necessary at this point.

So apparently after taking a city, the server is taken down, rolled back around an hour causing our clan to lose a city and several people to lose alot of loot.

This needs to be sorted out, getting a poor review by some site probably dosn't hurt the game all that much, but i know that many people will consider quitting the game after this. Sieges are a core part of this game and aventurine just demonstrated their utter failure in front of everyone.

I'm wondering if anyone knows why the forums mods are closing threads recently that don't break the ToS, any answer is much appreciated.

Just want to see what people think.

Soldiers of Thunderstorm, a Cactus clan, sieged eXile's city on Rubaiyat. CC came down and helped, then took Soldiers of Thunderstorm's city: http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/l...nt=newcity.jpg

About 10-15 seconds later, a message came up saying "server is shutting down." There was no patch/update...about 10 minutes later the servers came back up. There was a short rollback, and Cactus still had their city while eXile's city was still pretty damaged.

Though this is irrelevant to the underlying topic, CC did not ask DUSK for help, and no DUSK guilds were there. The fight was pretty even.

The server did not crash on its own, as there was no lag or desync on the server. There was also no known obvious issue that needed to be fixed right away, and even if there was, surely a dev could've waited a few minutes before taking the server down (there was no patch/update, though).

The question: should Soldiers of Thunderstorm's city be transfered to eXile by Aventurine?

Aventurine does not refund lost mounts or rafts on server crashes, though on a few occasions they have offered to refund lost ships (I believe brigs and higher). Obviously, not getting a city due to the server being shut down is much more significant than losing a mount.

you can find many threads about this issue and seams AV dont like when players ask for a fair game well i hope Av get one thing and that thing is BANKRUPT

While I generally don't agree with Aventurine's board moderation, it is their board.  They can do whatever they want with it.  If they treat their players badly, they'll suffer for it, but that's their decision.

Pretty much whenever the server crashes / goes down.

What this forumfall member named SSguy said sums it up to me, replying a thread complaining about a siege:

Good luck with it, the mods seem to want another chunk of players to quit in frustration because they can't consolidate the threads or leave one open for valid complaints.

Usually they will rollback the server. If you had recently got it out of your bank, check if it is back in your bank. The mount will spawn at your bindstone in the case of a server crash or client crash unless there is arollback.

I log in and lo and behold my mount is gone... server rolled back to a time i was still on my mount a good 30 min b4 the server crashed GFG Pretty lame but whatever thats av for you

I'm confused here - you state that the rollbacks are the first to happen, but there are multiple posts on the Offical DFO forums that indicate that rollbacks happen all the time.

He's doing his usual "flame-baiting to get the thread locked" schtick again.

Can't really blame him for resorting to desperate measures with the game being in such a dire situation.

It's a shame. This game is ok, if you see it for what it is - a midevil Counterstrike. It's been released way too soon, and it's not really worth paying for in my view ( I won't be resubscribing, for sure ) .

But........some people will like it, and it's a shame that a reasonable conversation using facts ( like, you know...Tasos's own words,  or the Offical Site info ) can't be held due to extremes on both sides  - but I'm going to call a spade a spade here, by observation it's 75% the fans of the game that start the trolling, and 25% the game's distractors.

I'm just saying, that's my observations.

Being silenced in Darkfall forums?  What's new?  In the offopic sections with political talk, the only people allowed to speak and express their opinion were Libertarians and mainly Conservative Republicans.  Whenever anyone with a Democratic point of view expresses themself in a similar tone that a conservative does, they get banned/thread locked/deleted ect..

Don't even get me started on the game itself  Darkfall is a fail game from head to toe and it has just about everything to do with their inexperienced nasty staff.

KInda  ironic that they have a thread about a woman who crashed and due to roadrage she burned to death and the mods allowed everyone to diss the person who died in utterly bannable ways but thats ok! the mayor offense is to complain about the game.

Hey this is actually pretty damn cool. It has built in capabilities to access 3D files from the googe 3D archive and render them into your "world". There are a lot of minigames which you can implement or make your own with scripting. If you want, you can just build you place up with built in assets, or make new assets yourself, or get new assets from across the web.

Its a fun community building game :)

And yes the load times are a drag, but whatever.

each time the server crash there is around 5 min rollback

As Javac has said this is the first time this has happened so I'm sure it will be fixed soon just like everything else that does not need fixing.
