Please, do go back to wow....i loved wow for the first 6 months as i leveled up my hunter, but DF isnt WoW and though as i stated multiple times on this forum that it certainly has less than i wanted in at launch, there is more to offer me with it's a player-driven environment and very similar mmo aspects i appreciated from pve games, to keep my interest.

Ah come one, it was a sarcastic line poking fun about how some of the DF "fans" always say GO BACK TO WOW whenever someone posts something negative about the game.....

At this point it has become obvious:

Point out any discrepancy, flaw, or error in DF and you will be attacked by their "loyal" fanbase.  This fanbase will only last until the next MMO of the month comes out (it's happened before..see VG, AoC, any many others if you don't believe me).

If you post anything at all citing points or details backing up the above, you will be called an idiot, immature, or as the previous poster alluded "you don't even come close to the entrance minimums".  As if there is an entrance minimum to a videogame.  Plain stupid retort, I argue.

Quite simply, these guys have nothing other than "you suck", "gtfo", "go back to wow", "you're too carebear", "n00b", "it's not for you", "you're not hardcore", "you're not hardcore enough", "you're not one of the big boys", "you voted for obama, therefore you are too emo/carbear...therefore go back to wow", "it's all player driven", "unless you're hardcore, you're going to suck", "pve is for carebears", "pvp is where its at", "DARKFALL OWNZ", blah blah blah.

Really, it's typically childhood school recess fights.

I don't like darkfall.  I didn't care for it after a couple hours playing.  It's shoddy.  It's ugly.  It has an outdated engine.  It has PVP FFA. So what?  UO had that and I stopped playing that back in 99.  For FPS, I play COD WAW (although it lacks)...but I won't play Doom2 just because it has a real FPS experience (i.e. no mouse support).

The only reason people who play DF like it is because of the FFA PVP full loot.  Take that away and those same people will turn against it in a dime.   If you don't believe this, then I challenge you: play darkfall for a day, a week, a month, but stay away from combat.  Don't PVP.  Don't loot.  See if you still like it.

That's actually exactly why I participated in the DF forums myself....I was suckered in by Dark and Light and saw the scary similarities with DarkFall.   Both seemed like great sandbox games not afraid to break the mold.  Both were run by crappy companies that didn't have the resources, experience, or skills to pull it off.  It's not about hating DF, it's about helping others save their money and not walk away feeling ripped off like we did.

Heh... it should be obvious by now that a certain "dr" doesn't really know what he is talking about when it comes to DarkFall. 
 

Obviously the "dr" was under the assumption that bloviated posts would suffice to convince some that his knowledge of DarkFall was more than mere window-dressing.
