Today at 20:00 GMT, the Fallen Earth Wikipedia page was edited by the Game's Community Director Ivan Tiggs, he stated that the release date is "July 4th for purposes of dramatic, american irony." (to coincide with independance day.)

To read the information, check out the wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallen_Earth), apparently the game's homepage will be updated within the hour.

Wait and see.  Tiggs, the Fallen Earth community director is female and her first name is /not/ Ivan.

I'm thinking this is a gag due to the early time table given here for release - but I'm also a little hopeful as I'm really looking forward to this game!

Yeah, I'll believe it when its announced on their website or live at E3; {would be the perfect time.} instead of wikipedia which isn't a very reliable source for an announcement like this!

Fallen Earth has an estimated release for Q2 of 2009

Also, I did not make that post (re IvanTiggs) I am just Tiggs and have no idea who Ivan Tiggs is (my guess an imposter).

i think hes trying to say the confirmed date is not july 4th and they have not changed there previous estimate of Q2

i doubt it will make a Q2 release tbh unless they rush it.

I really, really hope this game is not getting released in July as it is nowhere near ready.
It needs another 3 months, at the very least.

The video here  www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/126/view/videos/play/1450/E3-Video.html did say they will say the release date sometime this week though.  But the 2nd quarter of 2009 is almost up, so Im guesing there will be an extention. 

Well, per the last vid interview, they were going to announce the release date this week. This week is now essentially over. I guess there is going to be delay in announcing that there will be a delay...the cynic in me finds this amusing.

Tough call, Should I go buy Fallen Earth or watch the fireworks ? Hmmm...

the game was pretty bad regardless, and i dont think it will do very well, it was a shooter version of city of heros/villans... the mobs all look the same, etc.etc.. gonna be a big let down

i quit playing city of heroes after the first couple months but..

this game is absolutly nothing like city of heroes. not even close.
COH was, as i remember, a game with no gear
FE is gear driven
COH was basicly fighting groups of mobs at the same time
FE is fighting one at a time, not real happy if even a 2nd let alone a 3rd add in.
COH is colorful, and cartoony
FE is dark and more realistic looking.
COH has alot of unique skills, animations, powers
FE is shoot with gun or hit with stick
COH has classes
FE has no classes

nothing similar at all between these 2 games.
