Povar Server: EQ1

If you have to start a new character do so in Crescent Reach. Levels are levels, come back and have fun

Our desired levels: 1-30 for now. Mainly we seek older mature players returning to EQ1 or EQ2. We are all starting over with a new guild that YOU can help level so you feel in tune with the process and have a sense of accomplishment.

Our Synopsis:

A casual guild that has just started out made out of older players who cannot power level and play too many hours a week.

What we are about:

We are a group of older gamers centered around EQ2. However we do not want a RAID CENTRIC environment in our MMO's and specialize in mature players that have real lives outside gaming.

We stress getting to know the game and exploring the world over speed leveling and power gaming. Our EQ1 chapter is especially concerned with this since we believe this game has a lot to offer if people take the time and do not play it like World of Warcraft. Read that carefully as we do NOT tolerate power gamers and anti social members.

We are led by former EQ1 raiders and players but we must stress that we are primarily NEW to the game despite having it for a long time. We made the mistake of not sticking with it and it is time to make ammends and fully explore the game the way it was meant to be played.

WHAT WE OFFER:

Organization. Mature players. Ventrilo open communication with channels devoted to games. Help in game and not power gaming. NON SPAMMING recruiting guild that will not promise one thing then not deliver. People that understand the EQ1 lore and love Norrath.

Many of us are new to the game or coming back after all the changes Shadow Odyssey brought so we are all learning. Our main focuses would be:

1) No drama whatsoever. This includes arguing about grouping, easily offended people that may take something out of context, or people that may tend to incite issues behind the backs of leadership rather than coming to us and discussing

2) Minimum age of 21, unless friend or family of a current member

3) Laid back atmosphere with people that will not rush to end game

4) If the future demands it, laid back "raid" times and no loot arguments due to mature discussion on the forums. Right now we are looking way down the road to be a Sunday night, Monday night type of end game guild. However that is so far away we are not really concerned with that.

5) Members that visit the forums and treat the guild as a community and not just another bunch of gamers they talk to once or twice a week. YES we want the roleplayers and the imaginative folk that will post fun topics and engage in conversation

6) We want members focused on this game and that will be active, but not hard core active. In fact we encourage alts.

7) We want people that will hang out in game and have fun. We want people that don't mind mentoring down and helping others

8 ) We want open discussion on this our policies. We have active officers and we need active members

9) We will use Ventrilo voice chat. (already have the server actually)

10) We will have message boards and a site that anyone can visit and discuss things with as well as the game and other games

OUR TYPICAL PLAY TIMES: Central Standard Time and Eastern Standard time, mostly weeknights and some weekends. usually we are on Monday through Wednesday and not Fridays or Saturdays

What do you want to do, languish on servers where you are alone or play again with people?

Dont want to solo? hire mercenaries in game or join us. Either way we have a guild established and can provide a small amount of plat if you have to start over on Povar

I was just thinking about this the other day.  Boy howdy do I miss this game.  I started playing the day it came out.  Granted I never made it super far in the game, I always made alts.  It always was the best for me though.  I may see you in game later, I'll have to download it, which i think will take all night.  Oh well, maybe I'll see you tomorrow, lol  If you resub do you get all the expansions?

I have an interest in your guild, I hope I am not too late but my wife and I are starting new chars, she is new to the game and I played back in the classic days and would like to start again and experience the game, not just get to high end. you can pm me here and/or reply to this post if there are still openings.

i was going to starting everquest a few months ago, if only you guys where around at the time.

Well..I'm new...was interested...but the link doesn't work :s

I actually just put in a ticket with CS this morning to see if I could get a time grant for a few free days on my old account, so that I can come back and see what all has changed.

I only played briefly in the past, but I always had a real soft spot for EQ and would love to give it a fair shake for the first 50 levels or so to see how it pans out and if I enjoy it enough to play it often.

graphic (those that soe polished so far are great looking.one they are done in eq it will look better then eq2 and be 10 time more playable.i had reserved eq2 ,lol i cancelled and baught underfoot instead.dont rely on graphic you see only even the worst of them are better then those yes soe isnt done yet but the way i undersstand it the newer content got the polish and they do the rest when they have time and so far it a nice compromise!i saw the spider at the beginning trial area outch

i think its the only game i ever saw with apider looking so good
