Was thinking of coming back to the game but just noticed that the anniversary ring event ended today (Monday 25th May 2009)
was wondering if there was any way i could still get it.

If not a newly created character, you'll have to wait until the Return Home Campaign is active again. That's when they make the Anni Ring available to people that missed it from the last event. That's usually towards the end of the year.

Not if it was created after the event. Although, I don't even know if they'll be available now because the Returning Campaign is permenant without getting the anni ring. We'll have to wait and see if they pop a moogle in there later in the year.

Character needs to have been made -- I believe -- at least 45 days before the start of Adventure's Appriciation.

As for getting the ring on a character that was already made and you just happened to miss it. You can pick on up at the moogle in either Windy Walls, Port San d'Oria, or Port Bastok (all by the respective Mog Houses). Not sure if they are available yet. You will see 2 moogles next to each other one being a Festive Moogle and the other I think just a plain moogle. If memory serves me right the plain moogle will hand you the ring. I don't know if they started doing this yet, but the second moogle was missing during Adventure's Appriciation. If you see two you should be able to pick up the ring.

There is a chance the Moogles might not be there now that they made the returning campaign permenant. We'll see what happens, hopefully they'll still be there for people get their anni rings.

Burned through my ring in 2 days leveling DRG on my alternate.  Went from unlocked to 25 in just under 2 days.
