Hey, remember during beta when all the fanbots said the world was empty because all the mobs and npcs it was going to have just hadn't been "turned on" yet???

I was just wondering, from those lucky enough to get the chance to buy this game, did all those mobs and npcs finally get turned on and fill up the game world, or is it still just a big, empy, coccoon of shit?

do you mean the dynamically-spawned, superiour AI (good enough to emulate players beta testing/exploiting the game) NPCs?

Lucky enough...? Uh.. wait a sec here. Is that some weird far east philosophical definition of "lucky"? Cause I got the chance to buy it, and I don't feel lucky at all! :P

I remember the fanbois telling me that the reason the graphics look crap even for low-grade graphics was because of video compression, I actually burst out laughing RL after reading that as thats honestly an excuse they gave me.

Its a shame you guys don't direct your energy to ripping apart companies like EA and SOE, this games already done, companies like EA and SOE take years to take down.

I like to think they're all just in hiding.

Is EA even competative? I mean after bolstering 750k people to their WAR game and now it's under 200k I believe that is a flop right there. Along with $ony not releasing any worth while game in the last few years shows they have both been cut down to level. Neither of them are any good, and with Tasos thinking he was gods gift to gaming to find out he is one heaping pile of shit and needed to be reminded of that.

Also.... Lucky? Hell I feel lucky that my friend who pre-ordered hated it so much he let me play his account after the first week so that I didn't end up actually spending a dime on this shitty game.

I dont know. You cant even ride a few minutes without ending up in some weird NPC village. Those damn hobgoblins even have underground tunnels connecting thier citys!

I don't know, I ran on foot from the Human starting city to the Dwarven city of Thorden (-1 sp) and never ran into any NPC villages. guess I took the smart route along mountain tops and ridges and kept out of the swamps like any thinking person that understands tactics and strategy would do.

I agree that they are out there, the funniest thing is running into one that is empty then some time after you enter there is some strange garbage can smacking sound and they all suddenly pop around you. Really great coding and game design there.

we're talking about darkfall... where you can ride for a hell of a lot more than a few minutes, without running into npcs.   not sure what game you're referring to -- if it's darkfall -- LEAVE THE NOOBIE AREAS.

the marker size ratio to land mass is way out of kilter.   make the ratio a lot better, and you'll understand the emptiness.
