Hold on a second here... You haven't played the game..... But your main complaints about it are that it's got Bad Graphics (Which you could only have seen in Screenshots or Low Res Videos) And that there are Hackers everywhere.... Which you couldn't really know unless you know.... you've played the game and encountered them. And All of the people who are in the thread who do play the game are telling you it ain't so...... yeah.

On a side note, Played Darkfall... Didn't like it much. Too punishing and too damn slow to be any fun for me.

Actually, I think THIS* would be Tasos "first" review. At least this would explain his outrage over the EurogamerMMO one.

DF has still potential to be the best out there. I believe to people who say they have best gaming experience ever.

I cant play it though until all hackers are wiped. And even then i would like fresh start for everybody. And free trial ofc. And pvp server.

Hold on a second here... You haven't played the game..... wow , what a day i just got out of the coolest and bloody battle in mmo history.. there i was hold off a horde of 100k just me and my guild of 300 we were so great and in the end we won ..

As a country, Greece has always been technologically far behind in all areas. The games industry has never been able to get a game to be successful and to discuss world. The best known until now our international titles (in English) was the World Basketball Manager (Sports), the Conspiracies (Adventure), the Chicken Invaders (2D shooter) and Theseis, an Adventure, which had not ever released. And we are now in the history of the Darkfall. Began in 2001 in Oslo Norway an effort to create an MMORPG from the Norwegian company Razorwax. A year later, the Greek company Aventurine acquires in the hands of the project and the developers who until then develop and run the job. It took eight years of development, hiring dozens of developers from Greek and international arena, and tens of thousands of hours worked million batzet to have a MMORPG today worthy of admiration, which now has global reach.

Community 
The community is in Darkfall site www.darkfallonline.com. Before the game even released, the site was already the largest communities worldwide, with over 350,000 members and 3,000,000 messages! That is another reason why the game is known in almost all RPG gamers on the planet. The tribes

Handling 
The environment of Darkfall Online will be your first concern, but after some time familiarizing will pleasantly surprise you. The moves your fighter with WASD. The camera is controlled with the mouse, left click with the mouse used to attack and right to navigate the menus found in background. This feature is truly unique because you can open any windows in the background you want and with a right click to turn off the control and actuate the control menu. All windows in this environment is fully editable on the location and size, as in the windows of your Windows. There are windows that show you the statistics, the skills you map in your inventory (which is called "paperdoll") and your hotbar, which has 10 tabs with 10 slots each, so total of 100 posts to enter the skills you want to use. To use the skills you must go to the menu of each skill, to drag the hotbar where you want to use, press the corresponding number from your keyboard while you left-click. The paperdoll has a wide range of choices for clothes and accessories that can be worn by your character. Includes helmet, necklace, earrings, armor, pants, two rings, cape, shirt, panties, epikalamides, sword, shield and arrows. Feel like 'You have to look that. 




In addition to the WASD, other hotkeys are as follows. With the Shift running with C hang, with F (Use) NPC to talk or interact with any object you have before you, the Space pidate and take the R or collecting your gun. Characteristics, Skills and Battle 
Unlike almost all the RPG market, which have levels, the Darkfall has no levels of the system but is based on the nature of the skills. The protections Protections are having your character. There are a total of 15 protections, such as Cold, Fire, Lightning, Acid, Arrow, etc. 

As your skills develop, so will improve the basic attributes and protections you. The Strength increases the damage you do with your weapons in battles with the body and affects the body and maximum health. The Vitality gives bonus to maximum health and stamina, while reducing the effects of poisons and aimoragias. The Dexterity is interdependent on the damage you do with arrows. The Quickness slow weapons near or distant range and reduces the damage you receive from these attacks. Moreover, increases the maximum strength (stamina). The Intelligence is interdependent with the spells, increase your resistance to attacks of mental spells, and increases the mana. The key attributes affecting respectively and the three main statistics of your character, the Health, the Stamina and Mana. The five categories of skills mentioned above will satisfy even the most demanding users. There are dozens of each type of skills that can continuously exercise: 
- The Combat skills have to do with the main battle and blocking attacks. By Parry (key V) you can raise your shield to block the attack of the enemy. Then there are the skills Armored Proficiency, Armored Archery and Armored Casting, which carried both receive blows from swords, arrows and magic, respectively. 
- The Crafting Skills help you to create food for your character to enhance your weapons or even to build homes for you or your clan! Usually, for the exercise you need to find the right accessory. If you find a fishing pole, you can sit in the water and practice the Fishing. If you find a wood axe, you can perform the Logging, ie cutting trees. With the pickaxe digging rocks. So the skills Axe, Club & Mace, Archery, Greataxe, Greatclub, Greatsword, Knife, Polearm, Sithra, Sword, Gank and Throwing. The movements of the characters in Darkfall, and the battle system is real-time, like in Oblivion. The resistance decreases when you run or you strike movement, but generally takes from the beginning to empty and filled respectively. If empty then you can not knock your enemies and will have to wait to fill up even just to launch the next attack. This is the most realistic and understandable. 

The enemies you are located in specific parts of the map which used to PvE (Player vs Environment). The PvP (Player vs Player), can be performed anywhere, provided that a member of a clan and a clan war has kyrixei to another. Each user has its own approach and this is what gives this game a special significance. Clans

Sound
The Achilles heel of the game is the quality of sound. There are many sound glitches which sounded at random points and with different variations of the volume. These up as a little irritating but not intolerable. The voices of the characters is quite a good job. There are several different variations of voice when a character attacks and highlight the nature of the distance from the camera (to be adjusted accordingly and intensity).

The mere ambient music combined with sounds of sword arcs and try to give a distinct tone, but the general impression we have is that Aventurine did not even bother to search quite a sound. Such cases are the music of arms that almost always make the same sound (one for each gun) and the NPC who are not even open their mouths to speak.

Epilogue
What is Darkfall gentlemen! Cheirokrotiste the most important game in the (little) history of Greece in the games. We expect to see Unreal Engine 3 in front of an instrument passed through eight years of growth. But wait to see a MMORPG that will play in traditional systems market, which did level up, a static system of battle, magic items with the sack and so on. Instead here we had the unexpected. The Darkfall emerged to create something special, while the risk of criticism. However, until now views are basically positive, especially from users who prefer a fully realistic and original MMORPG, and not something ordinary.

The game is still ahead of the future. At present only sold online through www.darkfallonline.com, while at some point should be placed and a second server, for users to escape from the queues and to choose an alternative character.

However, the arguement you've made is kind of flipping the sides around for the sake of your example. My Argument was that you haven't played, and are quoting hearsay, while the people who've played the game disagree with you. It's like all the people who slept with the girl say she doesn't have aids, but you choose to believe her Jerkass Ex's rumors instead and don't get laid period. Or for example you drop your keys into one of those shitty fake fireplaces but won't reach for them for fear it's a real fire when all of the other people in the room are calling you a dumbass.

In all seriousness man, try to come up with an argument that has a valid point if you want to rile people up.

Oh, I agree with you Ripper, I was just saying that this is probably why Tasos was all hot and bothered by the Eurogamer review.

Apparently Tasos thought that since the guy down the hall, that he has lunch with everyday, rated the game so high, that the Eurogamer dude was just a flake and couldn't possibly know what the hell Darkfall was all about. Shame on him!!

regardless, Tasos's bitchfest over the Eurogamer's review labeled him as a whiner in the business, and no one with any credentials will ever touch him or Darkfall with a laser beam pointer. Just another checkmark against Aventurine as far as I am concerned.

No problems here. To be honest, I was a little out of line, my post kind of seemed a little hostile towards you. I apologize.

Anyway, I just get tired of all the justification that gets thrown around. Especially the "you haven't played" nonsense. Good Lord, I don't have to go into Compton at 2 a.m. to know I don't have any desire to do that. But in Darkfall's case, I did. Luckily, it didn't cost me anything but time.

As far as this thread getting off-topic, considering the OP started a new thread concerning it, I figure this one is fair game now.

 Rhinok, I know that eurogamer had released an article about darkfall previously saying how pure the implementation and how bad it sucks to play becouse in game mechanics are so incomplete blah blah, and a day later tasos has released logs of the reviewer showing that he has played the game for two hours (which you cannot do anything realisticly to speak about game mechanics etc), and how he tried to learn controls on ingame chat etc.

My point is, eurogamer is not a company to trust, either if they are talking in favor of a game or the reverse. Some of their reviewers are jerks for sure

I know you posted to Rhinok, but to be honest, I would take Eurogamer's word over Tasos anyday. Without question. Tasos has more than proven his character. Heck, I am just waiting for more (if any) of the more aflluent gaming sights decide to throw down a review. Should prove interesting.

Actually that is exactly how they review it. If you're not convinced just count how many times the word "Greek" appears followed in the same sentence by the word "game" in the text and one will get the idea. The sad part is that there are people actually out there that have bought and will buy it on the basis of being "the only Greek MMO game out there" ignoring every other criteria that one uses before buying a game, a thing which i don't understand for the life of me.

This thread was going fine until sanedor came in and told everyone that the siege was fake and designed by Aventurine for hype and that if it was real, it was filled with hacks... Then we find out he never even played the game.

And the best part is that I just got warned by MMORPG Mods for questioning his (a troll) bizarre accusations.

It's too bad threads like this get derailed. Sanedor got exactly what he wanted. A thread that was showing off the fun aspects of DF turned to shit due to a troll.
