I should be sleeping but I'm typing out a summary quickly so there will be gramatical errors everywhere. I will include pictures as well.
Here are pictures (doesn't show fighting because I can't take pictures in combat ) : Lots of images in the same places but I just like to take a lot.

EDIT: sounded like fun, Glad to not hear about big hacks ruining the whole thing. |
|
|
There were no hacks but there were betrayers throughout the siege! I also forgot to mention that our clan bank was robbed because it was infiltrated and the person kicked everyone and we had to rejoin the clan. It happened right before the attackers came. Anyways I gotta sleep now. |
|
|
well yes, but I've always thought that kind of stuff was legit. as long as you can control who in the clan has powers to access banks/kick people, its a matter of them being smart enough to get you to let them have the power, not cheating at all. |
|
|
last thing i gotta say is that I was so scared I was going to lose my home so I and a few others made my way to rush their cannon shooters and distracted them for a while. it was so exciting thing that ever happened to me in this game |

Yeah but exploits were used! Rebuilding the walls midfight is an unintended game mechanic. From accounts that I've heard based on the position of the cannons and the way the fight was going the clanstone would have been leveled. |

you destroyed their cannons? why not use them yourselves? is this not a sandbox?? |

back for a sec, ROFL the afghan alliance called it an exploit because they were mad that they lost. Don't listen to them they are frustrated that they lost the siege. If it was unintended then aventurine would fix it because everyone knows you could build buildings anytime ever since release

he stated the enemy was fleeing, why not use any equipment they left behind? i am sure cannons take a few resources to build, why destroy them? just keep for your town defenses or turn them on the fleeing enemy. wouldnt it be easier to kill the operator than to kill the cannon itself? how would they all be dying if they killed the operator and used the cannon themselves, please explain. |

An exploit is using a game's mechanics--to your advantage--in a manner that's unintended and is allowed through faulty design, bugs or some other means. Please note, I'm not saying this is an exploit. I wasn't there and I don't know the specifics. I simply take exception to that statement, because it's over-generalized. That being said, it does seem like an exploit if players can build so quickly that it significantly mitigates damage. I can't imagine that being an intended game mechanic. ~Ripper |

Well said, what is the point to destroy a wall if it can be rebuilt minutes after ? |

Many RTS's allow repair while under attack, but usually it is to hold off the inevitable destruction, unless the attacking force is defeated.
Just goes to show that the development team do not really have any idea about games in general, much less MMORPG's.
To the original poster, if you are going to put quite a few addresses up, at least make them linkable. Thanks.

Sounds like a lot of fun :). What happens when you die in one of these sieges? Do the attackers get sent back to their own city if they're killed or do they respawn close to the battle? |

They respawn where they binded, so most likely their city. The defenders on the other hand respawn naked and continue zerging. |

Thats why the attackers need to take control of the entire city in order to win. They almost did but we pushed them back out. |

You make it look like it was an even and a fair fight when in fact it wasn't. First you had people lagging up the server, trying to make it crash. Then you had SN sent after the shard holder, who sploited their way up (using a macro program) to a place that's virtually impossible for a single person to get to. You failed both times, so you put your scrub armor and your pvp sandals on and started carebearing it up with the rest of the server. Reading the ALLY spam in system log was hilarious and just showed your true colors. Over 1600 people in cotc + 1300 in dusk + 400 in kfc + sn vs. 150 in afghanistan + let's genereously say, 150 in co/mh + a few poeple from sb alliance, but hell, let's say the whole 590 people big sb alliance came to fight. That's ~3300 vs. ~890. You had double the numbers before you decided to ally the second largest alliance on the server and kfc. You outnumbered the whole attacking force 3:1 (at least), and yet failed to defend one of your cities and almost lost MS as well. Not meant as a whine or anything, just setting your story straight and adding a little bit more detail. Watching you get your crap stolen from the bank, get your people kicked from the guild by a spy, desperately ally the whole server in hopes of saving a bunch of pixels was enough of a reward for me. Thanks. |

That was a fun fight did not make the first siege as I was rebuilding our city gates and cannons ready for when SB came back with Mercs :) The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not represent the views of MMORPG.com, its associates, or affiliates. |

Ok just want to point a few facts out here. DUSK is 90% EU and Most (99%) are over 18 and work and wives etc. Siege was in the 4am Timezone for EU. Dusk having 1300 Try 50 at that siege. CotC Have a whole bunch of EU guilds And East Coast US also not sure on exact numbers but they had a good 60 at the 2nd siege. --- SB did the siege in there own prime time pre-planned so they had the numbers. Mercs are mostly West Coast also and was in there own prime time too.
If you bring time zones into the factor here then you will see that it was pretty even spread of numbers. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not represent the views of MMORPG.com, its associates, or affiliates. |

yet another video of a battle involving well over 1K players in a single siege showing zero hacks and barely any lag... wonder how the trolls will try to spin this?
this is the *real* darkfall. |
