Featured MMORPG.com blogger Paragus has submitted another entry, this time detailing the much-sought-after hovertanks of destruction known as Warhulks in the controversial MMO, Darkfall.

Today I am going to finally be talking about one of the most requested topics from my readers, Warhulks. Warhulks are the hover-tank looking siege weapons that many of us saw in the hype videos before the game went live. It's been almost 3 months, but finally the first of these war machines have shown up on the battlefield, and I was fortunate enough to be there to see them in action.

Read about the Warhulk

controversial my ass ... just because thier players are idiots and the low life scum of the MMO genre doesn't mean its controversial ... you're giving it too much credit.

Interesting article and a good read.

I see though that the Vileforge could be rendered useless in a siege encounter if it can't get close enough due to player obstacles, is it an issue that the devs are looking into or an intentional side-effect of such a powerful vehicle?

Hard to say since this is the first real combat that one of these has been in.   After the warships were first used when I wrote that article, the devs examined a lot of thing things I said and made changes to them.  They read these write ups so if they think it is an issue they will look into it.

The game actually sounds fun.... aside from all the PvP.

Heh, I felt the same way when I read the word "controversial."  Talk about spin!  Trying to take all the horrible elements of this game (from it's YEARS of delays, to Tasos being a tool, to the players being the worst in MMO history, to the gameplay being flat out horrible) and trying to spin them as "controversial" makes one wonder exactly what's going on behind the scene, here, or perhaps more appropriately, under the table.

You guys are a riot. :)

A person can't post an opinion one way or another on this game without it breaking out into a 4-page or more heated debate and you say it's not controversial. On top of that, you contest the controversy on a thread about a popular Darkfall blog that just had a 10-pager regarding whether it should be highlighted or not.

Do you guys even know what that word means or did you see a big word, assume it might mean something good about DF, and then just blindly pounce?

I don't understand, I thought the "News Discussion" session was reserved for official game news and MMORPG.com articles.

Paragus opinions about Darkfall represents MMORPG.com opinions about Darkfall or does it represents Aventurine news?

Paragus blog is well written, but I am confused about MMORPG.com position about this, if Paragus opinions represents more than just a MMORPG.com user opinions, why not label his work as article and not as a simple blog?

What's confusing? They say it's a blog in the first sentence of the news. Are you saying they can news blogs and content from any site but their own?

I know they say it is a blog.

Personally I see a huge difference between players opinions and an article expressing the new content of a game.

I am not saying I agree or I disagree and I think Paragus should be able to express his opinions about Darkfall.

Any well written blog from a perspective of a player/fan will count as "news" now or this works only with Darkfall? I am just curious about it.

Personally I belive any news about a game should not be related to personal opinions.

edit- So why not label Paragus works as articles? He is not an ordinary blogger related to MMORPG.com and Aventurine anymore, I don't think it is even fair with all the other bloggers...

In his recent blog he has gone through several big features of darkfall, he has done so in a well-written articulate manner leading to mmorpg.com to bump his blog.

It's something they've done since member blogs were first introduced in mmorpg.com and I'm sure they will continue to do so every time a good blog from any member of mmorpg.com regarding any subject appears.

Anyone saying that all the drama concerning Darkfall isn't "controversial", is only arguing for the sake of arguing.

So, have you looked at the fact that even just today, we spotlighted and features another blog. The news piece announcing the feature was right about the Darkfall one...

My sig keeps me from retstating my opinion every time I see the whining. [We are who we are] It's preemptive. It'll hopefully help me argue LESS. But I don't think you cared to know WHY my signature is like that, you just seemed to want to express your displeasure with it. Noted.
