You are making a mistake in thinking these hackers are shamed by someone posting a video of them hacking. SOME hackers try to pretend they are just really good players. I've seen that alot in FPS tournaments and ladders. Other hackers like this guy do it because they can. They know they are going to get caught, they know they are blatantly obvious. They just don't care about their longterm future in the game (using that account). |

He's not talking about shaming the hackers, he's talking about shaming the devs into fixing their code so that this crap doesn't end up on youtube making asses out of the devs of DF. |

Wow, now that's an epic way to get a ship stolen. FLYING NO-CLIP BOATS ! Non-clipping reminds me of Counter-Strike, heh. Just serves to show how games cannot rely on people not willing to hack them if they can do so. I've yet to see the day games will be able to be fully free of bots and hacks, scourge of the fair-play gaming community. |

This is the crux of the darkfall situation.
On a basic level I want to play, it *does* look good, (ok not look, it looks terrible) but there's just no way I'm going to waste my time trying to get things like this or build up any kind of gang until the cheaters are gone. And I dont believe that the DF gms are any good (if even existant) that any loss I suffer because of a hack realy probably wont be restored. Its funny, this is probably one of the few games sony *should* have bought and fired the dev team on Playing polished, lag free, feature complete games is carebear. Whining about a game you hate but still play is hardcore man! |

So, yeah... I heard hacking was next to impossible in Darkfall and anyone who did manage it got an insta-IP ban and then had the fingermen sent round to their house to fondle them.
