I played this game wayyy back in its NA release. I quit around level 30 and went away for yeatrs. Last year I had an itch to play this game again and I brought my gf on. She hated it and we wound up going back to city of heroes but now I am getting the itch to play this game again girlfriend be damned!

The last time I resubbed I never tried to get my old character back. I know the chances are slim but is it possible to get old characters back? I know Squares policy on this was after 3 months they could be gone but that was like 6 years ago have they changed this? Is there a chance I could get back either of my old characters (if I could get back my 30 war from my original sub Id be really really happy.) I logged into play online.com but the website has woefully few options on it and it wont seem to recoginize my content id.

Has SEs customer service for matters like this improved or is it still as poor as it was at the NA launch? I wish they didnt make this so hard with every other mmo its easy I left aoc,coh,eve and wow for various lengths of time and all those games had my characters waiting for me when I returned except Aoc because I havent tried to return to that one. I hope theyve changed this strange policy.

I originally took a break for senior year of college (lasted like 2 months >.>) and I called them up to put my account on hold. SE said that the three month thing never was that case and it they kept them around a lot longer. More like years. If you stopped soon after the NA release I really doubt that they could recover your account. It is worth a try, but you will probably have to call them up and talk to customer support. They just ended their welcome back campaign like 3 weeks ago so I am not sure how to recover accounts while that isn't on.
