In addition, Players can purchase in game currency in our gold store called "Geldors" if they are looking to get ahead of the curve with more powerful weapons and armor.
I'd rather them just have a set monthly cost to begin with with no FTP accounts or these geldors....because what this means, is that even if the game were to be a p2p game only...then the players who had the most money would always come out on top....aka not an even playing field ever. You can't have a pvp f2p game that allows players to purchase increased skills. It basically means that if you don't spend cash you are non competitive. They either to need to make this a subscription game or just forget it. The current design just won't fly. |

If you purchase the monthly recurring subscription, you get an in game currency allowance, so it's highly unlikely that you will need to make separate currency purchases in addition to your monthly subscription. The allowance should give you enough to purchase the most powerful items in the game. |

With all due respect, you just shot yourself in the foot with that comment. I was going to try the game, but now that it's in plain words: "The allowance should give you enough to purchase the most powerful items in the game," turns me off like a light switch. So in other words, subscribe, wait until enough money piles up, then get the best stuff in the game. El oh el. Although what you say may be factually true, I don't think your boss would like that kind of stuff written on the forums in such blatancy, especially by an employee. ------------------------------ |

I was actually looking forward to trying this game, now that I read the interview I removed the site from favorites and I will probably forget it even existed in the next two days.
Either you make it free to play where even the free to play users are competitive or you make it strictly pay to play, there is no attractive middle way to go here. You will end up with only some pay to play players instead of alot of free to play, some that subscribe sometimes and the ones that got a running subscription. |

This game is just like any other free to play game that has a cash shop. Whoever dishes out the cash to get premium items is gonna progress faster and have more in game money than those who dont. I have spent my share of money in ftp games and now i realize that it was never really worth it, i might as well have played a sub game. This game is based for people who have a lilttle extra time on thier hands and have access to a computer ahywhere. Its not to in depth, the graphics arent great, but its alittle fun to mess around on just to pass the time and i think that was what they were aiming for. I dont see my self playing it for as long as i would war or wow, but every now and again sure. |

I've looked at all the top tier weapons and armor and the premium stuff is NOT overpowered. Other than slightly better gear and a npc zone for battles the free players can very much compete in this game. The game Duels has been very successful with almost the exact same set-up and it is 100x the money pit this game will ever be because it's part collectable. So far, the game has been fun and I will continue to play regardless of the harsh criticism mmorpg.com patrons will give it.
