Frankly I think steriods should be legal in sports. At this time in profesional sports, whats the point really. Players take it and get by even with the testing, especially in the NFL. Level the playing field imho. As to buying gold, I do it and dont have any problems with it. Farming for hours to get gold the good 'ol way, is time I do not have. |

Well one thing's for sure...the op's name certainly fits well. |

What hasn't been addressed is the growing use of steroids in MMORPG players. With games adding more twitch elements to game play, you really need to work on your clicking ability, and often players turn to steroids.

Rejoice. For very bad things are about to happen. |

Quite correct actually. In addtion to being a shameless gold buyer, I abuse steroids in order to dominate my fellow MMORPG gamers. (PLAY TO CRUSH) You all don't stand a chance and might as well quit and give all your stuff to me.
Who the hell are you, and why should I care? |
Originally posted by EricDanie The difference is that in one, the item malls are a legitimate part of the game, designed and run by the company that wrote and operates the MMO and in the other, it's not. F2P item malls are typically necessary to play the game at all, there are a lot of things that, no matter how long you play or how hard you try, you cannot get for free. That's not true of a P2P MMO. In one, such malls are a part of the rules and a part of the game. In the other, they are against the rules and a means of cheating in the game. You can't point to a different game with different rules and demand those rules apply elsewhere. If you want to play that game with those rules so badly, go ahead. Just don't try to do it in a game where it simply doesn't apply. Played: UO, EQ, WoW, DDO, SWG, AO, CoH, EvE, TR |

Selling Propane and Propane Accessories in a MMORPG near you. |
Illegal (per the rules of most games) and unfair shortcut? Check. Sacrificing the health of the game for short term benefit? Check. Putting yourself at risk (hacks, viruses etc.) for the same short term benefit? Check.
Yep, I'd say the analogy works. |

I voted it is similar to steroids... but I also think there should be a seperate baseball league where steroid use is considered acceptable. Give them somewhere to be ridiculous, give them fields twice as big and pay them half as much. Either way everyone wins. |

You are kinda off in your analogy. Steroids are used in sports to give the player(s) and edge over other players. A great many MMOs out today are primarily PvE, so the edge you are trying to obtain is not over another player but rather the actual game itself. |

Originally posted by Meltdown Unfortunately, that's really pretty stupid, it's like having a baseball league where the players can shoot up PCP and carry spiked baseball bats to stop others from tagging them out. At that point, it stops being baseball and starts being a melee. Played: UO, EQ, WoW, DDO, SWG, AO, CoH, EvE, TR |
