I intend to live forever -- So far so good!

5/11/09 9:51:57 PM#26

I can't honestly say I've really read your posts so this will probably lack in feeling but it's sad to see anybody go.  Hopefully whatever haunts you will work itself out and you'll get answers to whatever questions you may have.

I too am lacking motivation to come here now.  Dekron kind of made me think about what I'm doing here and perhaps I too should go look around and perhaps apply all this energy in a more meaningful way.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I porn surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of 'hot xxx galore'. While I clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", I muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, "404."

So long Dek.. your wisdom was only matched by your God given common sense,God speed and of course you will be in my prayers.

I haven't had the pleasure of speaking with you Dekron, but I hope you find pleasure wherever this life takes you. Goodluck, and god speed. My heart goes out to you and your family, hope things take a swift turn for the better.

Sorry to hear that you are signing off. I always read your post. My prayers are with ya.

Like deviliscious, my father had arterial anurism and he is still here healthy and going on 80. I am in fear of  answering my phone every day becuase my brother may have passed. With pace-maker and dialysis he has gone years longer than I expected. My parents best friend was suicidal 2 years ago because of his cancer, and now they just got back from a cruise together. Just don't give up on us.

Put aside petty differences. We are all humans who want the same fulfillment in life, we just choose alternate paths.

We all come to this site everyday for our own reasons - whether it be to speak our mind, to vent our frustration or simply to speak to a friendly, or at times, not so friendly, crowd. We have our ups and downs, ins and outs and yes, even our side to sides. This, like any brick or mortar commonality, is our community. Respect each other - you may disagree, but keep it within the boundaries of courtesy.

Looking into the possibility of one's own mortality makes you think of the important elements in life.

Forty-two is the answer - it's your responsibility to figure out the question.

Thanks for the kind words.

Edit: And, before anyone asks the proverbial question, no, you can't have my stuff.

This site has been shriveling for some years now due to incompetent moderators, I don't even know why I come here anymore, maybe I'm just an internet junkie that has yet to find a better site about MMORPG's.

Goodbye Dekron and thanks for all the the yummy fish.

You know, thinking back, for some reason I remember not liking you that much. I think we deterred politically near the beginning, but as time rolled by, especially when we were both moderators together, I took a likin' to you son...

I've also come to respect you quite a bit. We've been here almost the same amount of time, and I've always found you had something interesting to say. My sadness is that I didn't get a better chance of getting to know you outside of MMORPG.com.

I hope that your journey goes well.

My prayers are with you brother.

I feel you, but you got to be strong. Being a stone in this community you know we got your back. Hey but check it. Even if you don't want to post. Stick around and I'm sure you will receive a blessing of some sort. I lost my Aunt last year and it only hit me the day after how much she cared for me as I came home from school and she watched over me as my parents worked. I got to see her at least for the last time a week before she died. Had a beautiful smile and age was getting to her, I didn't like seeing her in the home and stuff....sheds a tear.

On my community part here. I came here as a young teenager and I expressed some of my trials and tribulations here (aka words of wisdom) here and I always wanted to help out inside of what an individual is and who they are. That's why I just never had a grudge for nobody, I took beatings back then on these forms. Truth is I care about people because behind the computer is a person living their lives and they come here, we all come here to go though our problems, difficulties and to relax.

Oh yeah, MMORPG.com may not seem to be that type of site, but I think that the Off-Topic holds more value of the people than everything else. Also I'm running this long typing when I'm absolutely exhausted. Already seen too many old members leave us, but you can't leave us like this.

EDIT: If we don't get your stuff, who gets it?

Well Dekron we haven't always seen things eye to eye but I never lost respect for you man. All I can say is my heart goes out to you and your family in what must be a very trying time for you all. I never pray being an Agnostic but I think this case warrants an acception. All of my prayers will go to you my fellow forum warrior and remember that no matter where this life or the next takes you... you were always loved here even by those that might have seemed like an enemy at the time. Take care, good luck and god speed my friend. You will be missed.

I was checking online through websites and by chance came across here. I happened to see this post.

Dekron, I understand what's going on. I want to ask you - do you believe in the creator (God)? I have something to share with you, but there's simply too much to it and there would be no reason to share this if you do not. I am not saying I refuse to share it because you do not believe, but it would mean much more if you did.

I didnt respond until now because, well to be quite honest I dont think anything I say here will sound genuine. Especially considering that I have several opposing views.  Text is very emotionless.

anyway, you're right.  Life is short and its precious.  Everyone deserves to live it equally.

I'd hope anything you learned throughout this process could be passed on to others.  Whether its embracing life and reaching out to love ones, or changing patterns within someones life to possibly avoid whatever fate has brought you.  You're a good writer, just something to consider.

Heres to you Dekron, take care.

5/12/09 12:23:16 PM#48

We haven't discussed with each other really, probably since I stay out of threads about politics, but I have often read your posts (thinking about that last one about the stolen xbox360) and I can say you will be sorely missed on the forums. Active friendly members are always useful for any forum, so you leaving us is a loss.

I sincerely hope you enjoy the time you have left. You're making the right choice about focussing on the things that are important. Good luck and good journey.

Well mate, I am still going to say.

Laters!

It aint over until the obese female takes the tunes, so to speak.

Perhaps a doctor who is so bad at the job that he/she can not deliver such horrible news in a humane fashion also have other professsionnal shortcomings that make that person more likely to be wrong with the diagnosis?

Just clutching at straws here mate, but I think that is what one needs to do in such a situation.

Wait for the fat lady?
