When the voices of the players are silenced, silently like sheep we will be lead to the slaughter. |
This fits the bill of being off topic. So I will post here. Wtf I logged in to find my rank has dropped from advanced back to novice. Can someone please explain why? I realize I do not login everyday, I do have a life...... contrary to popular belief. FYI I am currently testing a game which by the eula I can not post anything regarding it. When the game is ready to become a open beta I will be posting a report on it. So please be patient with me. Best regards Wildcardz |

My post count keeps dropping too. There is just not anything interesting to comment on in the off topic forum anymore. It's all politics, religion, and whining. I had been thinking about posting a topic asking if anyone has played X3, Terran Conflict, however it would be pointless making an off topic post about a non-MMORPG here, or any game for that matter. All that would happen is the attention whores would turn it into a political flame war, a discussion about the impact God should have in the game, and questions on whether in game same-sex marriages should be allowed. So don't feel bad, it's not just you.

Originally posted by olddaddy I hate to say it but latlely these forums have really gone downhill its now just religion Political hate and random whining about nothing nowadays with the OCCASIONAL interesting topic like the one about that new material thats invisible or something along those lines. Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. No, I saw X3 The Threat in the stores, and was interested, but read that the interface was clunky. Recently I saw X3 Terran Conflict in Best Buy, and read that it had been improved. I was wondering if anybody has played both X3 and EVE for a comparison. I like the interface in EVE. Everything is right there, and easy to follow. EVE also doesn't need a joystick. I was wondering if X3 Terran Conflict is playable without a joystick. Personally, I don't play EVE, I can't get my mind around the fact that my character lives in a pod, and never leaves to go see a movie, date, eat, or shower. Reminds me to much of that gamer that spends his entire life in his parent's basement surrounded by empty pizza boxes and flies. There has to be more to life than living in a pod...... I was also looking at Jumpgate Evolution, however am concerned how smoothly instancing and consensual PvP are going to effect the game.

To the OP: FAQ is your friend! Go read it, it won't bite! As to the general status of these forums, I share olddaddy's sentiments exactly. One of the reasons I don't post much anymore. No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga- |
