Have been checking out the forums since i found this site a few hours ago, and was looking for a bit of help to figure out which game would best suit me. (skip this paragraph if you dont play ffxi or dont care...just a rant) I was a die hard ffxi player...loved everything about the game but a year back or so, decided to quit gave the account to a friend who sold it...(really pissed about that too) I started a new character and fell in love with the game playing it thru a second time as i did the 1st. Only problem was that the game had passed me by, and attempting to do missions that required a good team was extraordinarily hard to come by. So whatever i decided to put down ffxi even though it will more than likely be my fav mmo ever. I played WoW for a year and have nothing bad to say about it other than it was just a lil too easy...played 2 classes to 70 cap before the expansion and liked the game but didnt love it. found runes of magic which is nice to fill the time and love the f2p...but it lacks real substance. OK sorry for being long winded but here is my question...Which out of the following 3 games would YOU think I would like the most. (I am more into PVE with a nice balance of group and solo) EQ2- I am leaning toward this the most, but my worry is that of my problem with ffxi...coming late to the party with little chance of experiencing the whole game. My main interest is many classes and races. Main worry is...is this game dying? Vanguard- Again I am liking the amount of classes available, but after doing brief research I have read some pretty terrible reviews on this game. AOC- This game looks nice and has some pretty solid reviews, I honestly hate that it seems i can either be Human or Human. Ok, those are the 3 i am leaning toward checking out, but warhammer seem pretty cool, but i rarely PVP and that is what my impression is of WAR is. (would i be wasting my time trying WAR if i would mainly want to PVE...the consensus seems to show that?) Thanks for reading my crap, and thanks in advance for any helpful advice! And if there are any other games that would seem to fit my wants that i have overlooked throw it out there plz. |

If you want a lot of difficult pve content and a variety of races and classes then go check out Vanguard. That game is awesome. It is very group oriented but you can also solo if you want to. EQ2 has NO variety when it comes armor and such.
try both of the free trials to decide. |

There is LOTRO, probably still to easy compared to what you are looking for. Vanguard, as I understand it, is a good game with one problem. Horrid leveling. EQ2 is a possiblity, though personally, I wouldn't recommend it. You might want to wait it out until something new comes along. SW :OR looks like it might have promise, and there always could be a suprise from STO or the like. AC - The Brute lvl 85 macer -HG (retired) |

Yeah lotro probably has the best PVE content out there. But lacks variety in classes / races. All those games have free trials so you should probably try them all out before you buy them. |
