Darkfall a good game?
Having fun with it, is okay.. but calling it good?
I mean it is so hardcore that... meh run out of those how-hardcore-DF-is-jokes.

Its better then good it is the best MMO out there at this moment. AV has a big chance, if they continue to improve the very solid core it may it get one of the best MMO (that said i have never played UO and for me a non-seamless World MMO is not a MMO). I was just surprised is MMORPG.com staff and writes such a fair article. But however despite the fact WHO has written it i fully agree with most of WHAT he has written because i find myself agreeing ( just can't say much to his DF-UO comparison, cause never played UO) .

I think a discussion of an article about a game should also have his place in a forum about that game too. I don't find a discussion about an article about DarkFall in a forum about DarkFall misplaced. Can you not draw a line from point a to point b, and grasp the concept? I would put more stock in your opinion if you could truly tell me stuff you like about this game without resorting to one of the few stock answers the super fanboys write about this game, or try and pull from posts of the past. If i write anything about the game i will get bullied by the haters on these forum. But i can cite MMORPG.com staff articles that expresses my view. That article was spot on except maybe for my taste it should draw a bigger line towards the haters and condemn their opinions, because my experience of the game is the opposite of what i often read in these forum written by haters. But somehow not expected a MMORPG.com correspodent did a fair write up.

This is someone who was a big FAN of darkfall, then became a member of MMORPG to be the correspondent for the game. In order to become the correspondent for a game, MMORPG **** REQUIRES***** you to be a fan already. But, eventually you will grow up and find other real games, with real combat and real content and you'll look back and laugh at yourself for being such a fanboi.

I don't feel being lied to, there is nothing i am missing much in these game and the core features are there. The game offers for me great game play it really is the best game on the market for me right now (again - as for me. i don't play anything else then sandbox and theme park games don't fall into category MMO as for me, so i don't play them) . The combat is great for an MMORPG , ok i never spend time in a pure FPS game but as MMORPG veteran i say thesecombat of DarkFAll is a very succesfull way to add to the usually MMOPRPG combat, it is fun and it adds personal twitch skill in the usual select skill and tab target- fire it, at least i having a blast using it.

After the 3rd week, nothing is new, it's the same ole bullshit, over and over and over.... Darkfall = boring My 7th - 8th week now. I have a feeling of learning new aspects in the game with every new day. I did not grind or power-grinded. I play and enjoy it.

If I recall correctly, Darthraiden is Maniacal the leader of some DF clan called Dog company. You can check their videos online on one of these streaming video sites. Just listening to him and his clanmates will give you a good idea of the type of player he is and why he thinks DF is good. Its a rare glimpse into a true fanboi's playstyle and personality, all of which allow you to better judge his perspective and its proximity to reality. I personally think DF is the mmo for fps players. Very limited skillsets and crafting, shallow player development, clan centered community, pve content is almost non-existent and at its core the act of fighting itself is the point. It has its audience but "Its so simple a caveman could do it" and "yes", sadly, attracting the immature and socially obtuse is a viable marketing strategy.
