That sounds about right. It gives them 2 more months for Closed beta and 2 weeks for open beta, or some mix of that. Of course that is assuming nothing gets pushed back. |

Oh, I hope my machine can run this game! I can't afford a new computer right now. And I MUST play this. [Even if I have to sell my mother. . Or someone else's.] What Happened With SWG Went Down YEARS AGO! Please Try To Stop Whining About It In Every Thread I Read. Mourn It, And Finally MOVE ON With Your Lives! Thanks A Heap. |

That still leaves plenty of time for postponements. |

I have to admit I was really hoping to get back into the closed beta scene, especially for this one - I cant wait, but alas I have to!

yikes, 3 months is rather sudden, it'll mean the guys at the studio will start bringing their sleeping bags to work (LITERALLY) to make this Crunch Time happen. Look for a push-back to a more reasonable and traditional Autumn time frame. |

hmm, Probably announced to shake up the market. Kinda a push to DC as Marvel is only an idea at this stage. |

I liked MMOs better when gamers didn't play them, and just geeks did. |

You might actually want to wait. From some of the sentiments in beta, this game is getting worse by each patch. One word that stood out was boring, but I will stop there. By the way, I got those statements from the last showing they had for this game that was at a convention. I played maybe 30 minutes of it and was turned off easily. I was also given 3 CB keys which I immediatly placed on cars in the parking lot. This is not to say you won't enjoy it though. I just thought it would be more skill driven and less quest driven. |

That or it may be a way to move more resources to STO. I'm pretty sure Paramount wants STO to launch in a few months as possible after the movie, certainly this year. It's probably also been figured that STO stands to make them (Cryptic) more money than Champions. That's my guess anyway. "Many nights, my friend... Many nights I've put a blade to your throat while you were sleeping. Glad I never killed you, Steve. You're alright..." |

Moving in quickly to launch and establish itself before DC online is released no doubt. DC online is a serious threat to Champs online. DC just has better appeal with it's Heroes and villains. |

STO is a much more recognised IP than CO so I would imagine it goes without saying that it would have a much larger fan base ready to spend money on the game when it goes live, not to say that ppl will stay with it after the free month but the potential is always there with a new release. However I'm looking forward to CO's release and can't wait to dust off my old spandex outfit and jump straight back into hero mode again, I thoroughly enjoyed CoX and look forward to seeing Cryptics latest endeavours.
