Nice introduction to WH space. It seems that a lone explorer should be able to at least have a pick and get out alive as long as he fits a probe launcher and a cloack in a cheap Heron frigate. My skills aren't that great but I think I'll give this WH hunting a try. Thanks for the tips. |

Sleepers are nothing to mess with unless you have a decent pvp fleet with you. As to meeting other players in these systems, I have yet to run into them. While the chance exists, I think the pirates are finding the chances pretty slim and not bothering. |

This seems to come often, the need to fly in a gang to beat the WH drones. I understand that the WH space from Empire systems is usually "easier" than the WH space you can access from nulsec. Isn't it possible to solo an "easy" WH with a decent PvP fitted ship, the way it is possible to solo a lvl 4 mission with a decent PvE BS? Is really a gang mandatory? |

This is one of the best accounts I've seen about exploting WH space: http://www.eve-search.com/thread/1038042/page/1#1 It also mentions that they were able to solo class 3 anomalies (which I believe are lower-medium difficulty) in command ships, so I'm assuming it would be entirely possible to solo the easier encounters in a Battlecruiser or Battleship, it'll just take longer. “The contents of this post do not necessarily reflect the views of MMORPG.com and its management.” |

Nice introduction for the player completely new to EVE, but completely lacking in any substance. A few more details about why wormholes are worth exploring would have been nice or maybe about what can be expected. You don't have to have a fleet to capitalize on wormholes, however, this is going to put you at high risk (fitting a t2 or faction ship, faction mods). The rewards are great, though solo you will really limit yourself to the level of content you can find. The best stuff is going to need an experienced fleet of at least 5-6, possibly 8-12 depending on the system and ship loadout. Anomalies are great for small fleets or solo, but the real targets should be the profession sites, some of which will net a half billion or more at current market rates. |

Recently I've gotten into probing and finding Wormholes more and more. I Find a WH, get a few buddies then I go into the Wh scout and look for targets or sites and they clear and I bring them home. They give me a cut of the profits and everyone is happy. I've found it a very rewarding experience so far. While WH-space is 0.0 its almost as safe as Empire tbh, just too many WHs to actively try to jack people in a WH. I've scanned out one dude in a HAC and tbh he was actually stuck in a WH and paid me to find his way out. I asked for the price of his ship so I made a good 100+ million isk for finding him a exit lol(took 30-60 seconds). Goodtimes Playing: EvE, Ryzom |
