instead of spending $15 a month on semi-interactive grindquests, why not just play this game. If you visit an online chat room while you play, it'll be almost the same as wandering the Barrens in WoW.

I think the problem isnt that WoW is boring.  I think the problem is that the OP is boring.

Maybe if you had more of a life and hadnt blown through all the content, you wouldnt be so bored.

Actually, I've been trying these games for years. For the most part, I stick to other genres.

That isn't to say that a few MMORPGs don't rise above the standard non-interactive whack-a-mole contest. Some of the games that have held my interest for over a month are:

Anarchy Online - The first MMORPG that actually stayed on my hard drive beyond the first 30 days. I played it about the time that it first came out so the free 2 play version may be a bit different now.

City of Heroes - This one lasted four months. I don't really feel that I rushed through this one. Grouping was just so damn fun and finding a group was made hella easy.

Eve Online - Boring as hell, but something compelled me to keep running missions and deliveries. Lately I've been getting the itch to play Eve again, but I just don't see the point when single player games like Flatspace, Escape Velocity, X3, Vega Strike, etc., can scratch my space trading rash just as well.

Guild Wars - Don't know if I should include this one since it isn't an MMORPG. In fact, it was all the non-MMORPGish things that I liked about it. Mostly I played PUG PVP, but it was very enjoyable and I didn't even have to grind to get to the good stuff.

And that's it....

The rest of the genre is just duller than dirt water. Therefore I don't think that my criticism is either unfair or unfunny so NAH NANNY BOO BOO!!!

I can understand how eve would be boring if all you wanted to do was trade. I pvp a lot, so I am never bored.

Mainly because I like the idea of MMORPGs more than their current implimentation. I stop in to hear news in the off chance that someone, someday will do this genre right. If that ever happens, this will be the place to hear about it.

.... And I can always troll if I don't find anything and I'm feeling bored.
