The Acclaim servers seem to be well populated in the free areas, can't tell you about the p2p yet because Im still testing out whats available for free and will try to figure out if its worth a 2nd sub. One thing I like for sure is being able to sub for a month or two and not having to buy a hard copy, so most likely I'll sub for a bit just to be able to give it a fair shot. The graphics are not my style, but I am very interested with the way they are working gear, could end up being a very good skill based pvp game, not sure if thats the direction they are going but meh. Its free to try, so give it a shot |

What do you have to lose except some time? No box to buy, free download and an unlimited trial. You really can't go wrong by giving it a try. I'm having a blast!I love the fact that you can look the way you want to look. Combat is kick ass. The task of developing you own skill rotation is fun. I've retooled the bar so many times in an effort to find that perfect combination. Once you get to Ringfell, you'll have no choice but get serious about the skill deck. As frustrating as the zone can get, it really does make you a better player as you go through your skill sets. The game is not without problems but they are easily overlooked because the game is just a ton of fun.

I think the combat in this game is just a little off timing? Its a little hard to get into when you see the damage points float off the target before you swing the weapon. It seemed to be in precise timing with the mouse click though. At first I thought it might have been a FPS problem. I dunno maybe it was my connection to the server. I'll probably give it another shot in a couple months after they tweak it a bit. Did anybody else have this problem? |

If too many things happens at once then those numbers queue up and you will see them appear over your head for some seconds after the fight. Fortunately the effect works at once and you quickly learn to observe your status bars and health during combat anyway. Played during beta and it seemed pretty boring to me. Good graphics but thats all it has in my opinion. I couldn't stand the pointless and boring two swing direction with the sword. It could get better probably but I feel like its just another low rated mmorpg. I'm gonna wait for the new Star Wars Galaxies; The Old Republic. :) mmorpg's flop faster then mcdonalds cheese burgers these days. |

I'm loving this game personally. The art style and whole world is very unique (can either be a good thing or a bad thing, I like it though) saying "to hell with orcs and elves" and doing its own thing. The combat system is incredible, at low levels its only good, but at higher levels it really shines. I'm personally looking forward to the skill-based pvp next patch in the arena. Hope to see you in-game. |

This is an addendum to Vesavius reviews above
I have played alot of games but this one is by far the most different game i have ever played. You will not be able to get a gauge on the game in 1 or 3 or 5 levels. I will give you an example. I leveled from 19 to 20 and had a plan laid out for my skill deck. When I hit 20 i changed my deck and it was like a had never played the game before. That is not the first time that happened but really that was the most game changing experience I ever had in a game. I had to rework my style, stratergy and approach completely. I say this to express the idea that your experience changes often and really the game never gets tedious or old, imo. So you have only touched the perverbial tip of the iceberg at level 5, 10 etc. There is very little grinding and if you dont know what the mobs do to you and use the wrong skill they will kill you like a hot knife through butter. Also the skills u use in a group are COMPLETELY different than the one u will use solo. This is for a runemge. Others classes I am not sure. In conclusion my only for sure advice to give anyone who plays this game is that the experience you have at level 5 or 10 is toyally different than the one you have at 15 or 20. You must play and to be honest you may love it at 10 qnd not so much at 15 until you learn to play at 15 and use properly those skills. It really is different .
PS Because I love the game does not disqualify the above opinion.

Indeed, Koen....a small change in the skilldeck and the whole game changes. I remember struggling through Ringfell, and then spending half a day tinkering with my deck. Suddenly, I was STOMPING through Ringfell. That was the moment that I realised that there was so much more potential in those skills then I had imagined...and now I'm always tweaking, and tuning. Such wonderful complexity....it will be hard to play any other MMO after this.

lol too right, I was just having this chat in guild last night, thinking I was the only one... a secret deck tweeker (!!). But then everyone.. was... yeah me too lol. Seems a lot of people are finding the skill deck to have a lot of depth. The tumbler really is the holy grail of easy to play, hard to master imo. |

so far im loving this game. I just started on monday and cant put it down. Its the opposite of every lvling mmo i have every played. Already subbed and im not even lvl 9: for the High house part. |

The skill deck adds such a huge dimension to the game. I think my only major complaint about the game is that the quests can be a bit annoying sometimes but it isn't near as bad as kill 20 Bunnies that other games have. At least of the quests take you somewhere for a purpose. |

This looks promising.. so the game works well and has a fresh breath of air to it? |

some people might like this game, but I didnt like it very much. There is hardly any content in it at all and mostly feels like you are playing a single player rpg. The gameplay is also alot differnt then all the mmo's I've played but instead of being good for me.. i just found it to be really boring. They did a great job on the character creation though, and also how they designed the characters they kinda have that gothy feel to them which i love. It's just too bad they didnt put more into the game content wise. Just my 2 cents Proof that alot of people on MMORPG are ignorant.

Thats fine, you are allowed to find anything 'boring'. The thing is though, 'boring' on it's own as a descriptive term is subjective and has no value or weight unless given. People will just assume 'troll' if you don't say WHY you find something boring. 'Boring' on it's own is as worthless as it's 'fun' as a descriptive term. Noone knows you here, or your personal taste, so we have no basis to judge if your feelings would match our own. Try giving some of the following; What level did you get to? What zones did you visit? What else would you have liked to seen content wise at that level? What is your 'normal' type of game? What have you enjoyed in the past? How long did you spend in game? Also, as a personal interest to me, what was your character's name? |
