its not  spamm i got in my email, i got this spamm on this forum, made from another mmogrp.com user

We're looking into it and how to make it dead :0 I got this one over the weekend as well...

I have not got one, but if I did it wouldnt be near as bad as the "nut shoot add" I really wish that add would dissapeari I am just about to the point were I will go into my browser settings and disable all those adds.

This site needs to make a change where you have to have 10 posts before you can send a PM, that would slow down the spamming.

No it wouldn't. Ten posts would take no more than six minutes to make and that is with the 30 seconds between posts limit here. It would also increase the garbage to content ratio.

Those horny chicks just know that besides killing dragons and PKing noobs, we gamers know how to make a mess in bedroom too. It's luv-skillz baby! :D

I find this hilarious because I looked at my profile. This person seemd to think I was a cool dude but what I had written was completely retarded and hadn't been updated since I was in high schoool.

The only thing my profile said was "I like pizza, soda and video games that aren't gay. I can't wait for UT 2004 to come out cause unreal tournament is the best fps ever." Yeah that's the profile of a cool dude for sure. I didn't realize what a tool I was back in high school until now lol. Apparently this spamer thinks i'm a cool dude though so it's all good.

Heh, I know, I got one too and was like "Alright, older chick diggin me..." Proceeded to do a little "Night at the Roxbury" headbob action, then a little "giggity giggity giggity, aaaaall riiight". Then thought to myself. What kind of chick would dig that? And then I saw this topic...

In all seriousness though, I suggest a 10 post minimum as some have said before, along with adding in that they must be forced to wait a minimum of a week before they can pm, and if they are found spamming the forums in any way, shape or form, they are then forced to wait another week, and all spam posts removed from their post count.

Just as an update I've banned 425 accounts on the site in the past 24 hours to curb this.  They all signed up with different IPs and it was hard to track them down.  In short I'll be watching the mail system closely to keep fighting these bastards.  I like the idea of a trial period before being able to send PMs but don't think that will curb them for too long.  The message limit per day is a good idea and I'll run some metrixs on the database to determine a suitable amount of messages to allow in a 24 hour period that won't affect too many of our members.

I can't even get away from this type of junk here...

I think msg limit would be a nice feature and you increase the limit if this person is an active person with higher ranking..

so newly created accounts could send out maybe 5 mails a day while high ranked 50..
